Don’t mind my face. I’m not that cute sometimes.
I am currently doing a PL style split. Push/Pul/Legs.
I am still knee-habbing, so no heavy squats. And I can’t squat very low.
I was helping my wife, and our friend with their squat clean form and apparently ass to grass squatting is NOT good on my knees.
So I will be avoiding that.
I am competing in a BP/DL comp on he 20th.
After that I will be changing up my training to more of a BB style split. More individualization of muscle groups.
High rep ranges…more muscle group frequency. And much more cardio.
We are going to Cozumel in December, and I would like to be able to see my abs again. Too much fat right now.

the meet went as such:

Bench: 1-115 2-145 3-160

DL: 1-235 2-265 3-290

I hit all of my lifts. I put up more weight in both lifts than I was expecting.
I weighed in at 172 lbs the morning of the meet. It was woman time, so that added a few pounds.
I was one of four females there, and the only one in my weight class.

I will post my new split later tonight. I will also post updated pictures in a few days. When woman-ness bloating goes away.

Yo, I still lurk your log ! Sounds like you did great at the meet. I am wondering what my opening attempts should be for everything. I was thinking about a 115 opening bench, but there’s no way I could jump to 145 after that :O.

I kidna wanna do like 115, 120, 125, ha-ha.

Some damn good numbers there for your meet. You should be proud, especially considering I think you had the wrong kind of bloat going on. Good stuff.

Spock- It is really hard to pick the numbers that you ‘THINK’ you can/should do.!!! Every meet is a learning experience for sure.

NEW BB SPLIT:
Day 1: Quads/Chest
Day 2:Back/Abs
Day 3:Arms/Abs/Calves
Day 4:Shoulders/Traps
Day 5:Hams/Hips/Glutes/Calves

I like it. It is working out pretty well so far! My muscles are killing me though, will all this isometric work, and muscle specialization. Crazy different! I still am not planning my days off. Just taking them as I feel I need them.

So after doing some contemplating, and then speaking with my doctor from back home, we have concluded that my Lyme Disease is/has resurfaced. :frowning:

I have been feeling like complete crap lately.
Head aches every day.
Joint pain/stiffness/issues.
Extreme back aches/pain.
General “head cold” symptoms.
Extreme lethargy, while I have been sleeping well, and in good amounts.
Decreased levels of energy/can’t make it through more than an hour at the gym.
Feeling generally “out of it”
Well, it sucks.
I am now taking natural herb remedies to try and get this taken care of.

Just in time for me trying to get in shape for my vacation to Mexico! Awesome.

My joints have been really bothering me. My knees were in excrutiating pain last night. And today, my shoulder is killing me.
I also feel that I strained my right lat somehow.
I am a hot mess, and I really hope I start feeling better soon.

Weight is still hovering around 170 lbs

I was 170 at the gym, yesterday mid day, with clothes, without shoes.
Morning weight is probably a few pounds less, but I am 99% sure that our home scale is NOT right at all.
I would like to be under 160lbs, just to see what that would look like. Oh well.

I just need motivation. I really REALLY hate doing cardio. it is painful.
I know I need to start waking up early to get my cardio in, and then training after work.
But I just love my sleep, and hate mornings! UHG.
But I just keep getting fatter and fatter. I hate it.

Weight at the gym 2 days ago WAS 164 in the pm.
Scales off? or just fluctuation in weigh?

I’ve found my weight can seriously fluctuate depending on what I eat, how much water I have, etc. Plus, if you’re not weighing yourself first thing in the morning, I can see your body weight fluctuating from weigh-in to weigh-in depending on your schedule for that day. I can gain a pound or two just by chugging a liter of water. What you ate and when you ate would also affect it.

I know your hate for cardio. It’s mine, too. You could substitute boring treadmill, elliptical, whatever work by doing circuits. Find a little bodybuilding routine you like and just go for 10-20 minutes. Boom. Way better than plain cardio and way more exciting! My two cents, anyways :slight_smile:

My joints hurt, and I am bloated, and feel like I am retaining a crap ton of water.
I just feel fluffy. I don’t like it.
More cardio? I don’t know.
Vacation in 17 days. Only 10 work days until then.
Can’t come fast enough.
