In other news, my best friend and training partner moved to Missouri! I really miss their family!
But I have a new awesome training partner. She is much smaller, and much stronger than me!
She really is a beast. I will hopefully get her to take pictures, so I can show you all!
She is 5 feet 2 I believe, and 145 pounds. She benches 200+ pounds.
I believe at our last competition she set the Post record at 205lbs.

Today I am taking the day off. for two reasons: 1. The wife asked me to clean the house, and 2. My back has been seriously bothering me, to the point of not being able to sit down for too long. I have been massaged and adjusted within the last week too, so I’m not sure what is going on. Heat, and stretching seems to be helping the issue.
I think we might go rock climbing tomorrow. :slight_smile:

Also, this year is FLYING by!!! Is anyone else feeling that way at all?
I feel like I have wasted this entire year so far, and have not done anything worth any merit!
Except for WORKING FAR TOO MUCH AND FAR TOO HARD! AND NOT GETTING PAID ENOUGH FOR THE TIME AND EFFORT THAT I PUT INTO IT!
end rant. anyways.
Props to myself to saving money by not drinking!
Oh, and the wife has lost 20 pounds since she started training in January! She looks fantastic. :slight_smile:

That doesn’t usually happen to me, so it’s frustrating.
Jamie is doing great, losing BF, looking healthy and strong, and feeling good about herself.
I love it, because she is happier, and I get more nudies when she is feeling good about herself. :slight_smile:
Life is good. Besides being over worked, and financially stressed.

We are going to DMB at The Gorge in two weeks.
It is the end all be all, to living out here in the PNW.
It is the single most anticipated event of my every year.
We are so excited.

My training partner, my wife and her training partner, will also be competing.
It should be a good time. My partner, Trista, is a beast, fo sho.
I would like to hit 160 on the BP and 305 on the DL. We shall see.
As long as my body agrees with me, I will continue training hard.
I had a short lapse in training due to a hellacious ear infection that took me out for a week, and then a 4 day weekend spent camping.
But I am back at it now, with a vengeance.

YUP. I’m suffering thru the year long never eating quite up to par thing myself. My issue is I’m lazy after work and just don’t even plan anything so its a last minute scramble to get something half way decent in my belly.

It sucks having high standards for ourselves that way because we feel like we don;t live up to what we know we can :[

I eat too much food so I feel like a fat ass all the time :(.

You are amazingly strong though!! If I could be as strong as you, I think I’d feel better about my fatness, Lol.

Hey Brute- GLad to hear it’s not just me. I completely agree. I work long, boring days, sitting at a desk behind a computer. It takes a lot to get myself ready and motivated to do what I need at the gym after that. And even more effort to plan my fooding for the entire day.
I know it is just an excuse, as we all have them but… uhg. I just get so down on myself.

Spock- Thank you. When I am eating clean, and training hard and often, and taking my supplements and vitamins as I should… I usually eat A CRAP TON, and don’t feel bad about it. But right now, I am eating little to nothing, but it’s mostly crap. And I feel like crap.
I don’t feel strong. I feel fat and puffy.

I would like to be under 19% bf, but right now I am sure that I am over 20%.

So tonight, for the first time in an extremely long time, my feelings were hurt.
My mother in law is visiting, and she loves Survivor (the TV show), so we are watching it. I can’t stand it. It’s just a crock of pointless shit.
And I said that it’s all about the drama bullshit, and I wouldn’t ever survive. And she said something to the effect of:
“Well, no one would be initially intimidated by you, due to your small stature”
I know that she didn’t mean any offense by it. but… are you kidding me?
I am 5 feet and 8 inches tall. I have large breasts, a large rear end. I weigh 170 pounds, at around 20% bodyfat. I wear a mens size 8.5 shoe, and 32 size jeans.
What about that is “small stature?”
Not to mention I call myself a goddamn powerlifter, and lifting heavy, and LOOKING LIKE I TRAIN HARD…is all that I care about in this damn world.
And I am pretty damn sure, that if/when I walk around in public in a bikini or with limited clothes on…people tend to at least notice me.
And it is not because of my “small stature”
