quick lifting shit to share:
I ALMOST hit 135 on the incline bench last week. UBER PUMPED ABOUT THAT
I got 2 or 3 reps at 125 and decided to go for it…fail. had to rack it on the lowest pin.
It feels good to know that I can incline press more than A LOT of people in the gym.
But my bench still sucks…haha. I currently can only get 2 reps at 155. uhg.
In other news. I’ve decided to try dieting again. But not tell myself that I’m dieting. It’s working so far.
aunt flo comes soon though. I love when I’m bloated and dieting. seems contradictory.
STILL DONT KNOW WHEN IM FLYING OUT OF HERE> mother fucking shit. I’m sick of it.

Oh, and there is a Power lifting competition here on aug 13th.
One of the guys from the gym (an O-3) approached me yesterday and asked me to be on his team!
Sweet. I guess it’s teams of 4 males 1 female. I was flattered.
I, of course, would love to do it. However, I am HOPING that I will be out of here by then.
But if not, I guess I will get my first taste of powerlifting. So, we shall see.

I’m bored so:
Training yesterday was biceps and triceps and calves
I started doing a little lite warm up cardio before every lifting session.
I like it. I do a brisk incline walk on the treadmil for 10-15 minutes.
gets my heart pumping, blood moving, and gets me hot and sweating. I like it.
I’ve also started speeding up my workouts by lessening rests between sets.
I like it a lot. I’m working a lot harder, getting a lot better pump, and feeling a lot more drained afterwards.
I’ve also realized that I haven’t really been working my calves as hard or as much as I should have because I always kind of thought I had naturally large/nice calves. Well now I feel like they are neglected so I try to hit them 3 times a week. I can’t see a change yet, but lets hope I will.
I also feel like my mid/lower traps don’t exist?
Help? anyone?
I also realized that my short head of my left tricep is SIGNIFICANTLY weaker/smaller than my right. POOP.
So I have been doing a lot more single arm tricep type work. My left bicep is also a weak point.
I’m basically just discovering a whole ass-load of FAIL lately. awesome, right?
Um let’s see I should probably try to point out something positive…

uhh. My grip strength is phenomenal. That’s important to me at least.

You can work calves a lot more than that. Might not want to because the soreness hurts like a bitch, but if you can work through them, calves can take a lot more than most muscles. I don’t trust my genes for shit, good genes are always good but they need love <3
Shrugs for traps, of course. Also, I think handstand push ups are awesome for traps. I’ve only been doing shrugs for a short time, but I realized that my traps are pretty developed, so I think the HSPUs had something to do with that.
I care about your forearms, and grip strength is awesome haha
For your bicep, try to do a lot more stuff with your left hand through the day. Kind of train yourself to be ambidextrous. Lift up plates with your left hand, grab a bottle of water with your left hand. It helps, I’ve been doing that and it seems like my left arm can finally take the same load as my right.
Don’t feel like that. We always have those times, but that’s why the ladies of PW are here to help you see how truely beastly you are.
Knowing your weaknesses is a big strength. working on them will allow you to handle heavier loads and keep you challeneged at the gym for a long time. just see this as the next step towards a life long goal. doesn’t seem so big an issue with the right perspective. (wow I just said that without my first cup of morning coffee. ok, now I want my coffee. brew you little bitch. lol)

Nikki- I have been meaning to try the handstand push ups, but I’m really too scared to try them because I’m afraid I would fall on my face and make an ass out of myself…yeah.
And yes funny you say that, I have been making a conscious effort to use my left hand/arm a lot more ie plates, water bottle, door handles, etc.
N- yes I usually tend to focus on the negative. Lol. The first thing I do when I get out of bed is go directly to my fridge and drink my iced coffee. haha.

My training is all over the place. I like to mix it up. I go back and forth b/w PL/BB type splits.
I am currently doing a BB type split. I did a push/pull thing for a while and liked it. I like powerlifting. I think I might try my hand at competing when I return.
In other news. I did not do the pullup contest last night. Thanks to TOM (time of month) I took the day off yesterday. I am trying to get to the gym today. Cramps are temporarily subsided.
I really want to hit the gym because its BACK DAYYYY AND I WANT TO DEADLIFT PLEASEEEEE
Also, Jamie is in Washington now!! She is getting the keys and moving into our home (kind of) today! But our stuff wont arrive until the 5th!
