First of all I’m glad you’re alive. And the forum is more boring and less informative without you.

But I think you’ve said it yourself: (Pretty much) everything has already been discussed.
Every bodypart has been discussed to death. There are T-cell roundtables on pretty much everything. Most of the really big posters have had “how do you train” threads, and some of the others have training logs, while some answer questions on how they train in other threads. The bodybuilding forum is dead cause there’s no point in discussing anything new. Can you think of a subject that hasn’t been discussed a dozen times?

There are a few bodybuilding shows a year. What else can be discussed? [/quote]

That is what the forum was for to start with…a place for people who are serious to relate to others who share the same goals.

This has changed drastically lately since I doubt many in this forum even lift weights…which is why when arguments from the bodybuilding forum leak over here, everything goes to shit quickly.

I got along well with Bauer, Lewhitehurst, Dathibluline and many others because we knew what it took to even pull that off. We came here to be around others like us, not to be surrounded by a bunch of bickering unfocused people who no one would ever accuse of being a serious weight lifter from appearance.

I’m dieting more seriously now than I ever have…meaning that would have been discussed as well…but that isn’t what these types of people want.

Most of the ones who took this thread into a negative direction are exactly what the problem is on this forum.

My goal is to make progress past where I am now. I want to surround myself with motivated people with similar goals.

That does not seem to be the case here any longer at all.

I am fine answering newb questions, but the truth is, if people looked far back enough, I already did that…on just about every conceivable topic.

Hey, the guys here turning everything I write into entire threads where they misquote me and argue the misquote for pages (like those saying I wrote that someone was better than MJ taking the statement out of context) are the reason this board will turn to shit.

No one who works hard at this is going to waste much more time on people who aren’t very serious in the first place.

Yeah, I can laugh at myself just fine. SOME of the pics may be funny, but clearly there seem to be many here who either missed the point of this thread…or are way too much of a pussy to ever call me out alone without the assistance of a crowd.

Like I said, I am very busy lately and am more focused than I have been before. I want to be around people like that, not people who would rather joke around in the get a life forum all day while keeping training as an afterthought…like “normal people”.

I gotta say, I’d get a real kick out of an Iron Dwarf meme thread. Though I’m not sure where the line would be drawn as far as going too far is. But I guess I’d know it in retrospect, and might even be hurt by a few.

Evidently the Doc is upset with a few posts (I hope none of the were mine). But if I had a real problem with the Doc, I’d just ignore this thread totally. I have a lot of respect for him (even though we’ve exchanged heated words more than once), and on first glance it seems disrespectful to post here. But I think many of us posted good-naturedly as a humorous homage to the generous big guy.

? The picture removed was not my avatar. Posting a picture isn’t the issue. Posting a picture with insults written across it like many here were doing is.

If you hadn’t noticed, not everyone here was being light-hearted about this thread.

I have to say that I hope you stick around these parts, even if you don’t plan to post as much. I’m not going to lie when I say a lot of the things you’ve said has had my head shaking in disbelief however you have helped many people on these boards and without a doubt have the potential to shut every single persons mouth on T-Nation once you are dieted down. Keep up the good work man and remember: hat3rz gun hat3…

There are some great parts on this forum, and one that’s dedicated entirely to surrounding yourself with people with the same goals is the brotherhood of iron. http://tnation.T-Nation.com/free_online_forum/blog_sports_training_performance_bodybuilding_iron?pageNo=1&s=forumsNavTop

Troll free, hater free. Just a bunch of guys pushing themselves and each other towards being bigger and stronger. And it’s very active, unlike that other troll free zone.

Other than that there are some good old threads. New ones would be redundant.

I thought it was about the other pic. My bad.

Inside joke,

Are you serious?

You are contradicting yourself in the same sentence.

If you didn’t care, you wouldn’t have responded to me in the first place, let alone 6 fucking times. You wouldn’t have mentioned my intentional remarks about your wife, that “any reasonable person knows was in jest” if you didn’t care. I said that shit on purpose dude. You really didn’t know that? I thought you were smart. I added the “hypocrisy” that obviously bothered you, on purpose to prove a point.

Stop trying, you are failing. Go back to whatever it was you were doing prior to poking your head in this thread to stir the shit you typically do.

Oh, and to go along with your original defense of this thread (which you were doing, and you are insulting the intelligence of anyone reading claiming you weren’t), just because you didn’t find my remarks funny, doesn’t mean they weren’t humor.

So get off your high horse.

Still waiting on a chance to see you defend a non-white in any debate on this board, btw.

Boy, that escalated quickly… I mean, that really got out of hand fast

I don’t understand why people would be here unless they lifted weights?
I don’t know what these forums used to be like way back when, I do know there seems to be more arguing than anything else at the moment. Forum needs a fucking marriage counselor.

I would like to cut the crap and I rarely come to the GAL forums, I tend to go between the bodybuilding forum and the t-cell alpha and sometimes the beginner forum.

I agree there is nothing in the bodybuilding forum that really corresponds to bodybuilding training other than variables that just don’t matter that much as long as you eat and train hard… The beginners forum is a bloody joke, the stickies don’t get read, if I didn’t love the articles on this site so much I wouldn’t be here anymore… I completely sympathize with you wanting to chew the fat with guys who actually share similar goals, but it’s just not going to happen here anymore… Not when people don’t even understand that you need to actually gain muscle before you cut if you want to look like you lift.

Bulking is in my opinion more simple than cutting well, people can’t even do that then they’re screwed when it comes to actually losing bodyfat and keeping muscle.

As for all this crap about guys from IM forum coming here for other reasons, what other reasons? I wouldn’t be surprised if some of them have so little of a life that they’re actually doing some secret ‘screw the T-Nation forums up’ campaign.

It really shows, most care more about their ego being caressed online than getting real results…

No, I’m saying I take no personal offense. I know it was in jest, just like the other people posting the other stuff in this thread. But you were the one maintain that doing it is a big deal and people shouldn’t while in the same post doing exactly that.

I do stir up shit sometimes, but I didn’t this time. Pot meet kettle.

No. Not only did I not defend them I never even directly addressed any posts or posters other than you and X.

Okay I admit it. This was much funnier. Way to throw in the race card at the end too. When have I ever defended anyone much less a disproportionate number of whites, much less in a way that suggested I did so for racial reasons? It’s even more ironic that you are defending X while making that accusation.

Not IM guys coming here at all, but if you do DoggCrapp or 5/3/1 there is a load of people to get advice and help from on those forums.

I come here for the Articles (top notch), the supplements (best in the biz IMHO), the LiveSpill training threads and the training logs (much inspiration).

You are allowed to get your info from more than one source…believe me, nobody outside of T-Nation cares about the drama here, as it should be.

Every successful forum has moderators that will ban trolls or people who disrespect other members. T-Nation doesn’t! The day this board has some sort of rules and the moderatos start banning people who come here to only stir shit up is the day T-Nation will be a serious bodybuilding forum.

People here often make fun of bodybuilding.com as if it was so much more different than T-Nation. The only difference I see is that on here we have mostly body/face-less members while bodybuilding.com has 15 year olds wanting abzz. If anything, bodybuilding.com has more impressive physiques because they seem to have higher traffic.

I highly doubt T-Nation will ever moderate their boards though, it’s all business and they need to keep all the useless members to sell their supplements.

There is always the possibility that these bigger guys could have you know, their own site… GASP SHOCK HORROR Which is probably what’ll happen if they don’t start to moderate the forum, if they don’t moderate it properly soon there will just be a group of pseudo-bodybuilders and the best physique will be a 150lb kid with abs. Sigh…
