The Portal of Det Azathoth

After much deliberation, I’m not going to do the USAPL Raw Nationals anymore. There’s a big powerlifting meet in June, The Europa, which is a big multi-ply meet in the Northeast. Doing the Europa will help me get back into equipped lifting and ultimately prepare for the Arnold qualifier in October in Ohio. If I qualify, then I will be at competing at the Arnold at the highest level in multi-ply.

I’ll be posting videos on a consistent basis, documenting this journey. I’ll be more than happy to answer questions.

The neural activation stuff is pretty interesting. I’m going to try some things and then come back here with questions.

Are we going to get some videos of your strumming your guitar whilst serenading your t-nat followers?

I’d definitely recommend it for an accumulation block or some type of off season training that will help the CNS endure the workload of high intensity meet prep work

Hahaha I wonder who is the wicked smart guy who wrote this program for me. To be honest, all the weights felt and looked super light and fast, I honestly felt like I didn’t do any actual work last night

Week 1, Day 4

There’s a lot of man in that rack

How do you like the asic wrasslin’ shoes for lifting? I’m considering getting something else besides chucks for training.

Hahaha thanks man, I’m currently at 212lbs before training

I like them for everything except for squats, I prefer chucks when I squat using the monolift or use my oly shoes when I walk weight out

Week 2, Day 1

  1. Box Jumps - 20 reps off the 36 inch box
  2. Squats, Beltless -

67% 2x5 375lbs
73% 3x5 405lbs
78% 3x3 435lbs

  1. Floor Press

70% 4x4 285lbs

  1. GHR - 5x10
  2. Ab Fallouts 3x10

Working back into the monolift was a lot harder than I thought it would be. No lifting videos today since only one of my training partners came in to help run the monolift and give me hand off’s. Bench is tomorrow and I’ll be training with my Harvard Professor friend. It’s been too long

Cool, thanks.

Your Harvard prof friend must be wicked smaht.

Hey Det, I just ordered Block 2 from Issurin I’m just wondering how long this thing is? I can’t seem to find it anywhere and I figured you’d be the person to ask about such things.
