Looking forward to seeing how much more awesome you can get going back to your old style of training. Will you return to Sheiko again in the foreseeable future?
I’ll probably return to Sheiko after Raw Nationals in August, I still like doing for offseason work, but I’ve come to realize that the peaking plan Sheiko wrote out for doesn’t properly prepare, and my friend’s programming works better FOR ME. I can’t emphasize that enough. I think Sheiko programming is genius, it’s just the peaking plan doesn’t agree with my body.

Sweet video’s det. So you use the box jumps on your lower day as an activation exercise? Is that the purpose of the chest passes on upper day?
Have you noticed whether or not the neural activation stuff makes a difference in your performance for the day?
Yes, done right, it’s like doing speed work, although because the nervous is prime and not runned down like a speed squat/bench/deadlift, the weights move faster immediately after doing so.

yeah of course - I certainly read/ watch and try to pick up a few tips here and that.
and that bench vid is sick - looked pretty fast!
Well that means the chest passes are paying off, especially since that was my close grip which feel weird to do (my training grip is pinky on the rings)
Due to me not deloading properly after my January meet, I’m taking the week off and restarting my training cycle because I’m burnt out.

When you do the neural activation work, do you mainly focus on being ‘fast’?

Well that’s the thing, the plyometric stuff that I do forces to be fast. Like the box jumps, you either explode off the ground and land high or you eat shit
