The cover by that girl Sarah is fucking awesome.

I’m going to echo you on the high bar, close stance squatting. Shifting to that and working on ankle mobility has allowed me to squat comfortably again.

Well, Squatting with these has help my set up and walk out become effortless as well as helping with depth.

Didn’t get a chance to watch any others other than what you posted but it sounds like I’ll have to now.

Shit, talk about talent.

Also, I’ve got a question about sheiko. When going between 37 to 32 after I do 29 eventually, do you still add 5-10lbs to your maxes? Asking because I noticed you hit 100-105% fairly quickly and was wondering if this has any effect on it.

That’s probably her sickest cover

I’d stick with the 5-10lb jump when you go to #32. I prefer staying conservative when you attempt to max out.

omg amazing cover.

What kind of shoes are the ones you posted a pic of?

Those are Against Faster weightlifting shoes. I think they were a limited edition style.

Lol you covered my thoughts and second question in the same post.

You like those shoes? Any sizing differences from your normal shoes?

I think they’re normal sizing

I like them for the style of squatting I’m doing right now, although I miss squatting in my high top Chuck’s

Mike Tuchscherer doesn’t squat olympic style…
I know, I just think he’s a badass lifter.

I like squatting deep, I’ll have my handler call my depth, and squat to whatever the judging is for that day. I’m not going to sweat worrying about squat depth or doing a “powerlifting” squat whatever that means. So I don’t know what you mean by switching over to a different style of squatting for my meet.

My personal preference for squatting raw is high bar, close stance. I’m a rebound squatter, and for the sake of my shoulder health, I’m not going to go to a low bar position.
All I was getting at is that there is no point going deeper than neccessary because it is a waste of energy. Also, I personally find and a lot of people also (obviously…) that you can move more weight low bar due to better leverages. But hey, if you like the high bar nothing wrong with that. As far as bein a rebound squatter I personally am the same, but I guess just from habit I have learned to rebound right at the IPF depth. Wasn’t trying to be a dick I was just curious because you obviously are a strong dude.

lol I know that was your point the whole time, I think you missed the part where I said I’m not going back to low bar for shoulder health reasons. Besides when I go back to multi-ply, I’ll get more out of gear with a high bar set up, so there’s another underlying reason why I switched from low bar to high bar.

I’m doing USAPL meets for my own amusement, so I’m too worried about any competitiveness in the normal sense, although judging from the lifters in the Northeast, my total is going to be just fine if I squat lower than I need to or not. It also serves an extra “fuck you” to my USAPL colleagues that I can squat lower than the required depth and still out-squat them raw.

Thanks for being a dick though! xoxo!

That last line was a bit traumatizing for me… Hahahahaha

And how the hell do you get more out of gear by squatting high bar? This puzzles me. Doesn’t it make the knees drift farther forward to decrease stretching accorss the hips of a suit?

I’m sure you’ll get over it if I don’t think you’re awesome

The center of gravity with the high bar, wide stance position is more conducive to sitting back, and get more out of the gear. A low bar position is almost like a glorified good morning, and you don’t really sit back into the suit as much.

Welcome back. What’s your BW these days? You’re looking pretty thick in the avi.
Thanks man, it’s been a while since I did any serious posting here. My BW is around 210-215lbs at 5’7 these days. I believe I was 210lbs in my avi, but doing Sheiko is causing me to lean out a little bit, so I could be down to 205lbs right now for all I know.

hahaha I’m pulling away from you again. Get at me you plump little carnitas.

Look kid, I don’t know you or anything, but I know Det Azathoth pretty well and I gotta say one thing…

you aren’t the same in anything. Not even comparable. If I were you, I’d quit weighing my chicken breasts and start weighing my options at wendy’s ya dig?

I can’t give too many more details without tipping off ICE so I’ll keep quiet…
