The Perfect Milkshake

I’ll give the one I’ve made so far, it was good, but was a bit dry from overcooking it so you’ll have to play around with it but here ya go…

I used

3/4cup cottage cheese
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 egg beater (egg white is the same thing…I’d use a whole egg but I was all out)
Half cup of fat free milk
pumpkin pie spice to taste (I use alot)
2 scoops of Grow! Whey (obviously another flavored protein powder is optional.
1/2-3/4 cups of dry rolled oats.
Splenda to taste (I used about 7 packets mized in)

Then maybe a tbs or so of cinnamon and 3 packets of splenda mixed up and sprinkled over the top.

Then, I cooked it on 375 for about 30 minutes, could have been done around 22though, especially if you preheat (which I forgot to do)

Play around with the ratios if you want more or less carbs/etc, but thats what I used during one of my carb up days, and that up there makes alot, about the size of a regular pies worth.

Anyway, the recipe is not perfected ratio wise (just cuz it really depends on the individuals physique goals and diet allowance), it tasted great though. Put a dollop of whip cream on top and your set.

This is a high protein and good carb recipe, with lots of fiber. I ate the whole thing on a carb up day just cuz I could and I wanted too but its really quite filling and could be used for almost anything, meal replacement, snack, carb-up recipe, or dessert of course.

My pumpking pudding recipe is basically the same but uncooked, and very good as well.

This is more a single serving thing:

1/2cup canned pumpkin
2scoops chocolate Metabolic Drive or Grow! Whey
2tbs PB
pumpkin pie spice
3-4 splenda packets

This pudding is pretty damn tasty, I occassionally use it for a quick snack on the go. Of course you could had some oats or cottage cheese and have a great Pumpkin Pudding meal replacement.

I dare anyone to try my shake and drink the entire thing!!!

Anyone up for this challenge?

for the right price

You already know my take on that nasty white vegetable, but cauliflower is one food you can do tons of stuff with.

Im sure the shake is actually pretty good.

I may try it just to get over my phobia of the food.

B-3

My favourite shake, and one I’m a fond user of is…

1.5 cups skim milk
1 cup oatmeal
2 tbsp peanut butter
2 tbsp honey (or not)
2 scoops of whey
1 banana
4 tbsp olive oil (or other oil)

Yummy yummy in my tummy

Rattler, I take it you blend all that together? That sounds really good. Might look to add more protein to up the count in it.

How do you come up with these food/protein shake concoctions?

Shouldn’t you be studying or something??

HAHA just joking. Very interesting mix you have created, especially with the cauliflower.

How much more protein do you need?
There is already over 60g in there.

NO $.
Just bragging rights

I’m wondering if I just used frozen cauliflower and no ice if it would come out the same way? This would be easier since its just one step…opening up a bag and dumping it in?

I’m actually going to try nuking some frozen broccoli and using regular egg whites. Not sure if it’ll work, but tomorrow I will find out.

Sambuca Milkshake…

5 oz Sambuca
6 oz Kahlua
1 cup Whole Milk
2 1/2 oz Vodka
2 1/2 oz Rum

Add ingredients to blender (milk first), blend, warm in microwave (1 1/2 minutes), and let sit for 30 seconds. Don’t chug it, savor it. Add bananas for thicker texture (optional).

If you think you are Ford Fairline light it…Precocious. Combustionable, not thick enough!

I’ll do it and video tape it in a week.

How much of each?

I figure

1 can tuna chunky light (drained)
1.5 cups milk
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1 serving flax seed mill (2 tbls)
1 scoop protein powder

I make my tuna with flax meal, cottage cheese and a bit of oil (evoo or flax). Good consistency and way better than tosssin in mayo

Maybe it’s me, but that shake doesn’t sound that bad. Everything seems to go together except the protein powder, which I’m sure if you used a mild vanilla whey isolate then you’d be fine. I’m not saying it would taste spectacular, but certainly not puke-worthy.

I dunno, I’m afraid the cauliflower might not blend up and smooth out, but try it…why the hell not.

And I think Burnesy missed the point lol, but kahlua mudslide adn milk tastes amazing.

Kalle,

make sure its 1 cup cottage cheese.

Id love to see that video!

Will do,

I got a competition on Saturday so I don’t want to mess around before it.

Next week I’ll do it though.

Rattler, I didn’t see the 2 scoops you had already typed in there haha. I wonder how PB melted and put over some veggies would be. For instance, some people just straight eat a tbsp at each meal, or here and there, but what if you just melt it, and pour it over something?
Rattler wrote:
That sounds… quite disgusting actually. The cauliflower just… I don’t know, just doesn’t fit.
It sounds, well, GAStronomical.
