Does the manpon press really work as a good sub as a board? I may try that thanks Joe…
Honestly I don’t know.
I just stuff the damn thing under my shirt and I do feel it in my tris so it must be close. Boards would be better I’d imagine but I work with what I’ve got.
Is that a personal challenge…or a T Nation old folks challenge ??.
Could almost be the ‘old folks’ WOD…
Ok folks…25 zimmer frame presses… NOW !!!

Its actually the sixty day T-Nation challenge that I did before but I only had five weeks until I went on vacation so I thought I’d do it and then do the 60 day one when I return. I’ll start the sixty day on with 20-25 push/ups and chins.
I was going to try two singles at 380 but back tweaked on the first pull so I decided to be safe. Bar kept trying to roll down my back on the squats for some reason nad by the end of this session I was exhausted.
I’m doing a similar sort of thing. Do you not find that equal pushups to chins is way out of balance?
I mean for me 30 push ups is a piece of piss whereas 30 chins is quite a lot of work.
Is there a reason for keeping them 1:1 that I don’t know about? or did he get it wrong?
My guess is the unspoken reason is that most people don’t do enough pulling vs. pushing in their regular training. I know Wendler has written to do 2 pulling movements for every 1 pushing movement.
Chins are total BW, pushups are approx. 70% or thereabouts, so easy to see why chins are harder. Except for pushups vs. chins, the difficulty imbalance is usually the other way around though -think bench vs bb row, face pulls etc.
