Solid lifting in here, as always. Hypertrophy is a different ballgame from the powerlifting. Have you thought about mixing in some bodybuilding type workouts, given your 2012 goals?
I have been slowly adding in some higher rep stuff and I think I’m going to continue with that.
I think the shock factor from the volume should get them growing. I know I need to remind myself to jump back into the 1-5 rep range for things like squat and deadlift.

here is the info I promised ya (and Me in the statements below is Jesse Rodgers):

To qualify for Nationals:

 1. Go to any SPF meet and Place or
 2. Won the Nationals this year or
 3. Personal invite from me, ( which will only be because of injury that prevented you from doing a meet, or the Nationals isn’t full by a certain date but Nationals usually are full early

To lift in Worlds:

 1. Won the Worlds this past year
 2. Place 1st. - 3rd. in Nationals
 3. A personal invite from me if meet isnt full by certain date like above

Any and all SPF meets count for qualifying in the steps above

So I’m all ready qualified for Nationls and Worlds this year, sweet.

Thanks for finding this out, I owe ya a beer.

worlds FTW

nice conditioning work going on in here-

big press and row day followed by a solid pulling day.
nice work.

I found squats dont do much for ‘hypertrophy’ but front squats sure do.
unilateral work- and more ham work have helped my legs

Damn you and your front squats, damn you to hell.

Yeah yeah I know I hate them because I should do them. I just can’t stand the choking feeling.

I had trouble staying tight on bench and my form suffered for it. I should have been able to grind out another rep on the money set but things weren’t squared away. Thats going to have to change if I’m going to meet my goals in Feb.

You need to be so tight you could crack a walnut with the a$$!

DUDE!

Whoah. I go away for a while and you go all apeshit. When did you start living like a beast?

No conditioning this weekend.

Instead I got my ass kicked by a cold of all things.

Steady, strong lifting. Lot of colds going around. Think it’s the warm one day, freezing the next we keep having here.

Going to have to skip the day’s lifting. This cold is still kick me.

Bummer, Joe. I hope you feel better before Christmas. Can’t have a virus interfering with the cooking/eating/carol singing!
