no one ever takes my fashion advice…but I’m all for the black ones! black and shinnyglittery mmm!! black and satiny? OHHH!!!
black!!!
YAY! Fa-shion show! Fa-shion show!
But first, I just gotta say, LOVE the gymnastics vids! Nasty callous rips are disgusting…shudder Seriously, clean that shit up, woman! Your poor hubby…unless he likes a little extra friction, in which case, carry on.
Now on to fashion!! Mind you, I have a terrible fashion sense (kinda jersey, I’m sure you can imagine) but I’m definitely a fan of the sparkly black skirt (above the knee FTW!) which fits you to a T and is so freaking cute! I’m sure that will make your ass look spectacular (btw my guy just walked by and said, “she’s hot, nice legs” lol! and then he concurred on the sparkly skirt). And well, frankly I like both tops!! In fact, I kinda prefer the grey, is that weird?
Anyways, your calves are indeed gorgeous. Anyone with a foot fetish would eat you alive!
Also, what’s up with the benching? I don’t remember you being scared of it in the first place…
Have fun at the party!!
Lula: You’re not creepy at all! Thanks for the tip on the straddle cut. I’ll try that next time. Unfortunately, the gym is closed for the next 2 weeks.
Kimba and Lula: Re the diet: Yes, I’m determined to eat healthier. I don’t demand perfection, but I won’t allow for a complete reversion to simple carbs all day every day either. I appreciate that every day, every meal, I have choices–and I’m trying pretty damn hard to make more good choices than bad. NO reason to wait for the new year. No reason to make this an all or nothing game. Constistency over the long haul is my game plan. This is a forever game after all.
Koub: I can see super glue workin on a cut, but a rip is like a blister–ain’t nothing to close.
Hallowed, Cal, Mim, frenchie, brute: Thanks for weighing in on my fashion dillema. I Went with number 3. The black pencil skirt was a little too spendy anyway. It will be returned.
Lula and Masch: I love that you think I can pull of the sparkles x2. Maybe for a new years party or some non law firm party I could…but I’m trying to blend in…hide the Jersey. Re the bench: I’m not afraid of being pinned. I’m over that. I’m afraid of hurting my shoulder. It’s a little tweaked right now still. and I think I tweaked it benching–you know being a whore, grinding out one last rep, pushing up the bar all uneven and ickily.

Training:
Benched on Saturday. Shoulder felt ok–105x2–was as mucha s I did.
Deadlifted today. 255x1 was as much as I did. It was a little slow. But, I was out past my bed time last night so whatever.
I’m LOLing at your choice of music for the deadlift vid. And you made that look easy. A fuck of a lot easier than I do, and I am around 40lbs heavier. Damn you!
And lovely photo. You both look so happy! (Option 3 was definitely the best choice).
lol! The music IS awesome!
I hear ya on the shoulder. Definitely best to be safe than sorry with that one. I find shoulder pain to be a tricky lil bitch. I know I don’t have to tell you, but properly warming them up is imperative.
LOVE the pic! You guys are a gorgeous couple. The height differential is amazing!! My guy is also over a foot taller than me too. Its too funny.
Anyways, nice DLing, girl. You’re monstrously strong!
rockin the heals and outfit Nads, you are a handsome couple ![]()
255 deads post x-mas party is freakin nice.
You, my dear, are beautiful. Excellent choice of outfit, and you do rock it!
Consistency, long haul, forever game…I think about all those things when I choose my food for each meal. After the run, we went out to lunch and I got the Atomic Meatloaf sandwich and ate most of the poutine. The next meal was salad and cottage cheese. And so it goes.
You are beautiful! You and your hubband are hella abso totes ADORBS!
And your deadlift is shmexy, slow… well slow an shmexy both!
You didn’t lose your form ATALL so whatev @ the speed!
Cal: Yes, we are happy. I took a picture of another couple, and somehow they managed to stand with their arms around eachother and not touch. I hope we never get like that.
Thanks Masch and Frenchie.
Kimba: Well, my philosophy is born from watching you. I tend to extremes–all or nothing. That never works over the long haul for dieting for me. So, I’m trying to be more moderate. More like you. You’re a good role model!
Hallowed: Ha! I love it. A sexy, slow dl. I guess that’s ok once in awhile. I prefer to pound the weights though.
+++++++++++++++
I’m deloading. Yesterday I went bouldering. It was a date with my husband! We had fun. My little fingers were so tired! It’s a whole other way to work your grip. My technique sucks. Lucky I’m strong. I so want to do it again.
So, gymnastics, dance, bouldering, lifting, running. I need to quit my job so I have time for all my activities. And recovery? My forearms, wrists and fingers ache. Hmm. How can I make everything work together and still be a good mother, wife, employee–and not hurt myself?
sounds like a wicked cool date ![]()
Sounds like an amazing date!!
And I know you can do it all! You’ll make it work somehow, in someway - you’ll find that balance. Just keep chasing those things that bring you joy.
Happy holidays to you and yours, you saucy lil’ powerhouse!
Merry Christmas Nadia! Hope you have a joyous time with family and friends!
I’m married to Clark W. Griswold Jr so it’s a go big or go home Christmas at my house. And I’m ready!
Wishing you joy!
Oh my goodness, did I get a good laugh out of that video! In contrast, I have the world’s smallest tree.
Hope you are having a wonderful holiday!
Kimba: Your tree is beautiful. I can’t wait to get mine out of my house! It left skid marks on the ceiling when we stood it up. Lovely.

Last day of deload today–I did some running and some stretching over the last week. I’m feeling great. Shoulder feels really good and sciatica is not an issue for me right now either.
During some holiday down time–aka periods of insomnia–I went back and skimmed my logs–made me wince just a little bit.
Pullup guy is optimizing my training for the next 2 cycles–leading up to my next pullup test.
Not sure what I want to accomplish next year–I’m having a hard time stating my goals beyond carrying over 2011’s 25 pullups and 300lb dl.
Okay I also have the sub 6 min mile goal too.
That’s it though. Everything else is up in the air. 2011 was all about proving something to myself. Testing my mettle. That’s not the feeling I’m after in 2012. I’m not sure what I’m after in 2012.
I’m after seeing more Nadia vids in 2012…![]()
I hope this next year’s a year of benefiting from your toils from 2011. For me it’ll be trying not to make the same mistakes! You’ve never ceased to impress me My Nadia! Go get em!
Nadia, I can’t wait to get my tree out of the house either…a Christmas fan, I’m not.
It strikes me that categorizing goals from Jan-Dec of any year might just be too much to ask. Some goals just take longer and can’t be boxed in like that. Your next goals will show up in their own good time. As will mine.
Thanks for the love Brute. 2011 went fast! Plenty of mistakes were made here too. But, I learned something I think?! I hope!!
Kimba: Agreed about the goals. Sometimes I think less is more with goal setting. I have so many things I want to accomplish. But what’s really important to me? That’s my struggle right now. Having a singular focus often yields extraordinary results. I need to winnow my goals.
