Remember that lady thread where everyone was agreeing with me, and telling you repeatedly that you didn’t know what you were talking about? Yeah.
lady thread? No, i don’t remember that. If you are talking to me? I’ve put some vidoes showing exactly why I believe that football trains and developes the best well rounded and impressive athletes. Like i said man, we can agree to disagree if you want. But, if you would like to debate with me on this? Then debate, and say something other than past threads. Bring up your debate points on this thread.
Here I have another point. Larry Bird. I like the athlete, he in my opinion one of the greatest bball players of all time. He is not my thought of a great, well rounded athlete. He was a great bball player, one of the best ever. He is not a great, well rounded, impressive ‘athlete’. His accomplishments in bball are impressive. Do you understand what I mean? Or was that just the second dumbest thing ever written on this site?
And I could counter with Dan Marino, or even Jerry Rice, neither of which were considered athletic. And, both Iverson and James chose basketball’cause they were legitimate prodigies not 'cause they couldn’t cut it. Both those dudes could’ve gone to the NFL. Hell, I can think of 20 or so dudes in the NBA who could play in the NFL right now, but there isn’t ONE NFL player that could make an NBA team. Several have attempted and none have made it past training camp.

Wouldn’t this have at least something to do with the emphasis on pure athletic ability in football, whereas professional basketball requires an extremely refined skill set (particularly for the shorter folks) that needs to be developed over years and years and years?
Football players don’t do well in basketball because they haven’t dedicated 10+ years to shooting contested jump shots, dribbling ambidextrously, opening their vision to improve their passing game, etc.
^^that is a flawed argument because playing in the NBA requires you to be able to shoot and that is a practiced skill and not really an athletic ability.
NFL guys couldn’t make it in the NBA because they can’t shoot well, not because yet can’t run, jump and cut.
It’s like saying NBA guys couldn’t play QB or Kicker in the NFL… Well no shit, they can’t throw or kick well but the athletic ability is still there, just not that practiced skill.
That JJ Watt video was insane. Fucker is 6’5" and 300 pounds and could jump over ID standing up.
I agree that Dan Marino didn’t have great ‘athletic’ skills. But, QB’s are different than just being a skilled player. They are the commander and chief on the offensive side of the football field. In today’s nfl a player like Marino wouldn’t be as successful as he was. The game is still evolving in that position. But, anyway QB is different than just skilled position players. Skilled position football players are the best, most well rounded, impressive athletes in sports. IMHO

Yes it is. Crazy, I wish the Cowboy’s had him on our roster
ID could make a pretty badass picture of it too

Yes sir.
Didnt Nate Robinson go to college on a football scholarship and end up in the NBA?
Allen Iverson in the NFL??? hahahahah

Yeah, 'cause football was too easy fore him and he wanted the challenge. Robinson might be the best pure athlete on the planet right now. Was also a track standout in high school.

You do realize he was the Virginia state hs football player of the year as a junior and was being recruited by all of the national powerhouse programs, right?
It’s just all so subjective. Could some NBA guys physically cut it in the NFL in skill positions? Yeah sure but would they be able to learn how to read defenses and run routes? Who knows?
Would they be able to take the hits? Maybe? It all just depends.
But the same athletic attributes that make a good skill position NFL player make a good NBA player: quickness, ups, hand eye coordination, speed, endurance.
^^theyre all the same but the demands of the sport require slight differences.
But on the bright side, at least no one said baseball.

Lol.
NFL has the edge in strength, and the NBA would lead in conditioning.
So WF who is the best in the NBA right now in this regard? The best Athlete? Im old I stopped watching BBall when David Robinson retired.
Greg same question for the NFL?

A couple of things about this video
- That chick has absolutely no fucking ass…like where did it go? to her love handles?
- Is that video real? Or was the deck stacked with more than one Queen of hearts?[/quote]
The deck was stacked. In a slow mo viewing I saw several red queens, including the one in this screen shot falling behind him while he’s already holding the one he’s gonna show her.
Plus the guy with the mics ‘HaHa’ comes before anyone can even see what card he’s caught.
I just played the video and just kept hitting pause and saw all kinds of other cards. That back card could be the queen of diomonds, jack of hearts, I did see the king of hearts. I am not saying I know this video is real but, I have not been convinced it isn’t real. Play the vidoe and hit pause and play real quick, you will see a lot of the other cards. I’m on a laptop so can’t make out the card you showed in paused clip well enough to see it’s suit
