Fact of life Egypt’s 100m and 200m record holders both were discovered during a rugby game watched by the National T&F team coach, they own the records 10.11 and 20.1 respectively but still prioritize rugby over track!
I have been watching basketball and football with an unbiased eye lately. There is no way a person can watch the nba and nfl and honestly say that the nba players are better all around impressive athletes. I can’t believe WhiteFlash said there was no room for debate! Fucking Bullshit I tell you…fucking bullshit
I think for week three I’m going to increase the weight for the first 4-5 sets. start at 265 then go 275, 285, 290 and maybe 295. I think hitting 290 depends if I’m able to sit back and stay behind my toes at 285. If that’s not going to happen the sets will look like this: 265 275 285 285 265 265 265 265. I mean that’s a shit load of volume to hit 285 with. IF I’m going to do it it will have to be early in the workout when I can maintain good form.

It’s pretty clear that your eyes are in fact unbiased…

And I could counter with Dan Marino, or even Jerry Rice, neither of which were considered athletic. And, both Iverson and James chose basketball’cause they were legitimate prodigies not 'cause they couldn’t cut it. Both those dudes could’ve gone to the NFL. Hell, I can think of 20 or so dudes in the NBA who could play in the NFL right now, but there isn’t ONE NFL player that could make an NBA team. Several have attempted and none have made it past training camp.
Wouldn’t this have at least something to do with the emphasis on pure athletic ability in football, whereas professional basketball requires an extremely refined skill set (particularly for the shorter folks) that needs to be developed over years and years and years?
Football players don’t do well in basketball because they haven’t dedicated 10+ years to shooting contested jump shots, dribbling ambidextrously, opening their vision to improve their passing game, etc.
yes.
need to check dates
Hockey, is the fastest team sport on the planet, can’t carry any dead weight on the ice, speed power and cordination, Nascar has some pretty fit athletes as well.

Wouldn’t that make baseball players the best athletes?

Can’t argue with that logic.
I think any top tier nfl running back could match up against pro athlete in their respective sports athletically-wise.
