Last night was a bad one. For some reason, I was in a funk that I just could not shake. No motivation to do much of anything, so, I went to bed. What that means is that I had to make up for it today. It’s always a pleasure to start the day off with LEGS!! I kept it pretty simple for this one…

Too bad the rest of the day couldn’t be that simple. From self-important cock-knuckles to…more of them. Seeing as how I was gone all of last week, one would think that if you were the person to put a lock on a door that is off the FOB, and you have the key hanging right beside your leg in your office, you would be sure to grab it. OH NOOOO… Having no clue there was a lock on the door, I join this person on the unusually fast paced walk (because he just HAD to check his emails, thus making us late) off the FOB, only to arrive to said locked door. What do you think happens next?
“Do you have the key?” he asked me. I looked at him for a moment then told him how nice it would’ve been for him to tell me there was a lock on the door. So, I got to walk back and retrieve it. Of course, as I returned, more idiocy occurs when a certain “special” guard tried raising up on me for not having a full kit on. Tact is foreign to this piece of shit, and if I felt like walking the fifty-some meters back to him, he would have been missing some teeth and precious memories of how they got knocked out. After that, the day looked up…until I walk into a dumbass question where the answer was right in front of someone’s face. I cannot wait to be done with these people. And this uniform. I forget who it was that said it best…this bullshit is full of sheep. Ignorant ones at that.
With that nonsense behind me, I had more than enough energy to knock out another session today.

It’s still on the table as of right now. I haven’t made any decisions or commitments yet. Still have time. I was there over the holidays, though. I really like the feel of the place.
Hmm…I’d been a lil iffy these past couple of days, however this evening, I had quite the hit of motivation that I needed for this session. The day was going pretty well until a certain idiot came in raising a stink about a damned broom. Further evidence that people out here have not a damn thing better to do than bitch about something. So, nicely irritated, I made my way to my FoS.

I hate wasting supps. Today was going so good, too. Got up this morning and actually ran, then got to watch an awesome UFC showing, didn’t have any distractions in the office, then when it comes time to hit the weights, my stomach wants to act a fool. AFTER I’VE INGESTED MY SUPPS!!! So now, not only am I chock full of energy, but my stomach is flipping harder than the Chinese gymnastics team. Fucker.
So now what do I do? This is some bullshit…

I’ve had that happen on a couple of preworkouts before, its why I usually stay away from them.
When that happened I still managed a workout but no max training, just stuff I can slowly go through the groove. and then finish early.

Ugh…this “no napping” nonsense I’m doing is hurtin me! Might have to come to some sort of compromise with myself… So drained was I that I had to tap out of my training earlier than I intended. After the deads, I was spent. But, I’ll feel 'em tomorrow, that’s for damned sure.

I hate when I miss a day on here, as I have to jog my memory. After the deadlifts, I was sufficiently fried, so nothing went down on the 8th. I think I even went to bed early. As for yesterday, I had Mr. Black locked up for the most part, so I was free to let my mind wander from one end of the spectrum to the other. I touched a bit on the Valentine’s Day thread, however I’ll expound just a tad.
I love this holiday. Not because it’s a great time to make a move on the ladies or what-have-you, but because I honestly enjoy the randomness I can partake in. For example, going all the way back to high school, I would save my pennies from my job at the movie theater, and buy a bunch of roses, or carnations (the school would sell these.) About a week prior to the day, I would talk to certain people and friends and gain access to selected girls’ lockers.
Before someone jumps on the privacy bandwagon, I got the blessings of said friends, so it was cool. So, with access, I would arrive very early to school on V-Day, and place the rose or carnation in the lockers. Now, those selected weren’t all popular. Not by any stretch of the imagination. But, they all stood out to me for one reason: they absolutely shined.
To me, they were the types of girls who had their own source of light or energy or goodness or whatever you want to call it. They had it. It didn’t matter who I was with or what I was doing, when they were in the vicinity, they had my attention. Not in a lustful way, but more of a captivating way. Usually, unless the attention was from their own circle of friends, they were on the “fringe” as far as high school politics went. I considered myself on that same level, as I knew most people, was acquainted with most, damn near everyone new who I was, but I didn’t belong to one group or another.
Bringing this full circle, thru the years, I like to do similar things for those that, for all intents and purposes, matter to me. This year was no different. Thru lots of plotting and planning, and with a decent assist from Uncle Sam, I was able to continue this from afar. The awesome part is that those picked didn’t or won’t see it coming. I only wish I were there to see the smiles on their faces.

Now…where was I…this year…mmm…plots. Oh yeah! I wish I could see the smiles on folks’ faces. That was always the part I most enjoyed. Some figured who it came from, while some did not. A lil mystery can be fun, sometimes. For me, I believe Valentine’s Day is not just for the ladies with SO’s, but for those that, for whatever reason, don’t have someone to tell and show them how special they are, whether it be in the romantic sense, familial, or in general. Why should they be overlooked, or left to just watch/listen to/hear others gush? Alright. Stepping off my soapbox. Back to business.
While I’m making gains on my big lifts, I have to admit that it’s getting boring. So, I decided to change it up a lil bit, and continue putting more focus on the Oly lifts. I like them. They’re fun, tough, and all kinds of beast-like in the gym! Especially when most others are in there doing their heavy partials.
I’ll admit to a bit of elitism out here, as I have just grown tired of these folks. I think most of them pick up on it, as most have made it a point to stay out of my way or clear away from the squat rack. It’s funny how this reminds me of a video and thread in GAL regarding this.
The only difference is that I don’t walk in expecting people to stay out of my way, or hurry up. I normally ask, politely, how many sets they have left, then follow it up by telling them not to hurry or rush, as I still have to go thru my warmup and such. But, they rush thru it anyway, and if I’m not nearby, they seek me out. I always chuckle when that happens. But…I’m rambling again…here’s what I’ve got:

This was another where I wanted to really get my form down. Normally, this would happen with a much lighter load, however, it’s harder to cheat with a decent weight overhead. At least that is what I’m telling myself…

2 hours later, I’m hurting something good! Tapping into my deep, deep disdain for certain people out here, and certain things that just push my buttons, I pretty much blanked everyone out for a 90 minutes and partied at the squat rack. No interruptions. No requests to do pullups in between my sets. No lil lieutenants trying to flirt. Nothing but me, Manson, and the bar.

I was pissed when my eyelids opened at 4!!

Sick work in here, Beast. And I love that point when you’ve trained so hard that everything just gets silly. Some of the funniest stuff I’ve ever been told seems to happen right around those points. It really is an enjoyable place to be. Keep gettin’ it, dude.
In light of last night’s fun, I figured sleeping in was in order, as I was bone tired. That and it was actually cold as balls last night, with a good rainfall. I went boots up around 1115. A little before 4, I was awake. This shit is starting to piss me off. If this keeps up, I’ll have no excuse for NOT dragging my ass into the gym and doing cardio. Bullshit…
But, in other news, it’s oddly comforting to walk outside to a torrential downpour. I don’t know why, but my mood lifted in light of this. Our roof was leaking? Oh well. Our exits consisted of almost a foot of mud and water? Cool. There’s no hot water in the showers? I’ll go for a walk and find some. The day only got better as our network crashed, so…couldn’t work. That was A-ok with me. I spent the day organizing some stuff, then writing. I got so into what I was writing, that I didn’t realize how late it was. So, I rushed back to my room, changed, then went to play.

I tried to make my biceps to the bulk of the work. I did a pretty good job of this, as they are sufficiently smoked. I stopped after this one. I figured since I was going heavy, less was more. Na’ mean? Now I need to think about what I’ll be doing tomorrow. Whatever it is…I’ll make it suck. Oh yes.
Sitting here at my desk, the Deftones are screaming “7 Words” in my ears, and I’m ready to pass out. 4 nights in a row where I only get a lil over 5 hours of sleep, often less, as I wake before my alarm is anywhere close to going off. I have a very good idea of the cause. The good people at big Pharma fucked my dosage up on my sleeping pills. I raised this issue when I first noticed how big my refilled pills were, compared to my originals. Blown off, I cut them and slept. Now that I’m out, and back on my originals, I’m dealing with this bullshit…fuckers. But…since I was up early again, I dragged my ass out of bed and swam to my playhouse. I say “swam” because it’s rainy season out here. We now have several pools thoughout the FOB.
