I’m getting that “Fuck 'em” mindset for the people at work myself.
And Beasty, you should know by now that all women have the potential to be dog-shit crazy. It depends on whether or not they act on it, and it seems like that chick is acting on it.
Just don’t even help her. If she gets injured from doing shit wrong, who cares.
As for your workouts, I’m digging the volume. So many sets, and those high reps get me pumped.[/quote]
Gracias, senorita. As for the work, I like it, as there are less aches and pains. I’ll probably get back to the heavy stuff in a couple of months, though.
Now, for today’s fun, I started the morning off with some dynamic work, then proceeded to “re-learn” the proper way to clean. I find that I have to really be warm and loose in order to get the catch position just right. But, I eventually got it down. Felt good. Following this was a day spent outside the gates of my FOB, pulling security for the office personnel. I didn’t mind it too much, as I got to wear my big-ass machete on my back. And that baby was the first thing some of the locals noticed first. It was amusing to say the least.
After that bit of fun, it was time to maintain my territory, and continue to strike fear in the hearts and minds of all haters “working out.”
13 January 2011
Evening
Bench Press
225 x 10 x 5
225 x 8 x 1
225 x 7 x 4
Yes, this weight was still a big bitch, however, the protocol called for me to finish out the sets. I made up for 16 missed reps later…
Incline Dumbbell Press
75 x 12 x 5
Weighted Dips
BW + 100 x .25 (HUGE FAIL!!!)
BW + 45 x 5 x 1
BW + 45 x 10 x 2
BW + 55 x 8 x 1
BW x 12 x 1
BW x 18 x 1
Close-Hand Bench Press
135 x 10 x 3
These were to make up for the missed reps earlier. I did these very slowly. I’ll pay for it tomorrow!
I was feeling especially evil during this session. It was probably the classical music that put me there. What’s more menacing than an evil-ass Silverback, raging out on the weights, all while listening to orchestras and violins and such? That stuff is more powerful than the metal I listen to! Until tomorrow…
