While I am prepared to see my current enlistment thru til 2013, I’m praying they just go ahead and recommend medical retirement. I’m tired of all the meds and such. But…we shall see come Monday.

It’s been five days since I last stepped foot in a gym, however, I have been putting in some work. Especially with helping a friend move. The moving turned into me putting on my confidante hat and assisting with her with her current situation where she has a kid that is both entitled and enabled. Growing up in a similar situation as the kid, I can relate to all that is going on.

Well, after three days of observation and interaction, I’m going to have a talk with my friend, and basically let her know that short of beating the black off the kid, she needs to regain control and authority. But, other than that, I’ve been fixing stuff and repairing stuff. Not a bad time, really. Keeps me busy.

I am still on vacation until the 5th of July. Unfortunately, I skipping dance classes last week as I was wearing my “counselor” hat for a friend all week. But, back to the grind this week! Especially after I fix the brakes on my car tomorrow.

I knew today would be a bothersome day as soon as my eyes opened at 2 in the morning. No morning work, as I woke up depleted of energy and fuel, and had the shakes to boot. So, after eating a decent breakfast, I felt a bit better, and after an impromptu trip into town, it was time to do work.

Ahhh…after taking a couple of weeks off from logging anything, and just going with how I felt, it’s about time to get back to work. It’s been quite a “vacation”, whereas I fixed my baby, got snagged by a pretty awesome lady, figured out part of my future, and made a few new friends. All in all, not a bad time. Thanks, but it’s only going to get better. Same with the dips. I’m very interested in seeing the results of combining the core lifts, the bodyweight movements, the running, and pretty soon, the martial-arts training. Should be interesting. Add the dancing, and I’m very curious.

So, 2nd day on the job, and already I had to raise a bit of hell. As we are all still in “Recuperation” mode, everyone is either on leave, or just not working. The company has granted half-days and 4-day weekends until August. So, I had to wonder why in the fuck my office is “working” all day everyday. Their response: we are so busy. I spent the past couple of days living on Facebook. News Flash: NOBODY IS HERE!!! This batch of bullshit served as ample fuel for this evening’s training.

Well the day was going so well, then 5 o’clock hit and I found myself and my young coworker still sitting there…waiting. 5:30…5:45…6:00, then the supervisor steps out of his meeting to release us. If there is one huge pet-peeve I have, it’s wasting my time, and especially a Soldier’s time. Added a good bit of fuel to my cooling fire tonight. If only they knew the thoughts that go thru my head…

After a very good (read: fucking GREAT) weekend, it was time to go back to work. I couldn’t wait, as I had legs to do, however, I did not attempt to go for a max, as I think it would be wise if I found a decent crew to spot me. So, I proceeded to just WORK.
