Thanks, Dove. It’s always a work in progress, with no end in sight.

This evening’s session was cut short as I had a bad case of bubble-guts, and my body just was not responding well to the work, so after the bench, I bagged it.

Feeling this, although I’m a lil annoyed at the moment. It’s another moment of reporting to someone who doesn’t know half as much as I do, and who doesn’t fathom the idea of common sense. But, that is my military life, for now. As for my “Me” time, I got some in last night.

Attempted Dumbbell Rows, however, I’ve taken to banging out 10 pullups here in my office everytime I walk by the pullup bar we have up. I got well over 100 yesterday, prior to my evening fun. Point-blank-bottom-line: I was smoked. Lovin it.

After a few days away, and a bit of a bad session yesterday, I stepped into this foreign gym like a man possessed. Seeing as how it was mid-morning, and everything on me was stiff, I kept the weight moderate, and followed the “less is more” credos.

Giving serious thought into assaulting my legs tonight.

As I returned to this foreign fortress, I was greeted by the PT whom I met this morning. A beauty of a woman: a mother and a bodybuilder. She was shocked that I was back for more. And more is what I was hungry for, as I waited for the one and only squat rack to open up.

I walked to it as the current occupant was bouncing between military presses and leg raises. Letting him know that I have next, I began to warm up, unsure about just how much I wanted to work with. My indecision lasted as long as it took three dudes to size the rack and myself up. As they were trying their best to be subtle about their desire to use it once I got on, I decided to make it easy for them and told them they could work in. I know…uncharacteristic of me. However, truth be told, there was a bit of ego, as well as some sense of nobility involved. The dudes looked pretty strong, so I wanted to test myself. That’s the ego. And since things are getting pretty serious between the woman and I, I want to be stronger for her and the kids. It’s strange how everything between us is clicking so well. But, that is for another time. For now, the work:

The Beast is currently in solitary confinement. He will not be released anytime soon. Mr. Black is in control now. And yes, he has a bit of an ego problem. So much so, that when visiting an Air Force base’s gym, we looked thru the window and saw nothing but jacked dudes. Everyone in there looked like they’ve been doing the damn thing. Then we entered. Can you say “Cluck-cluck?” They ALL had chicken legs. All of them. So…we directed our attention to the platform (unused platform…), and went to work. After warming up with some lighter weights, everyone was watching as though a freak was present.
