After a fun, sun-filled weekend, I have returned to the nation of Testosterone! It felt good to finally have a weekend, and not see any other soldiers around. Nothing military. Just me all by my lonesome. I only trained Friday and Saturday, so it’ll be pretty boring, really. Not a whole lot went down. Just laid around. Chilled at a cafe. Rolled around at a park with a river. Just relaxed. But, here is the work:
22 April 2011
Morning
Run x 2.5 miles
Heavybag work x 20 minutes
23 April 2011
Evening
Deadlifts
135 x 5 x 1
225 x 3 x 1
315 x 3 x 1
405 x 3 x 1
425 x 3 x 1
450 x 3 x 2
Got called a gorilla, after the first set of 450.
BB Row
135 x 10 x 3
Pullups
BW x 8 x 3
C2 Rower Sprint
500m = 1:54
Time eat, shower, shave, then prepare for the grind tomorrow.

Well, damn. I thought we were going to play it cool, woman!!! ![]()
So, since this is pretty much a FAIL, this weekend was FUCKING AWESOME!!! Lots of laughs and fun and ignorant comments by little German men (gorilla comment). I thought Beauty, here, was gonna go off on the dudes. It was quite flattering, really. But, the best part was watching her work. All I will say is, as hot as she is in pics…they do her NO justice. Especially when she’s all hot and sweaty, doing deads, and grunting. FUCKING WIN!!!
yeah!!!
so jelly ma head sploded. lolz
glad you guys had fun mr and mrs too cool for this shit ![]()

haha yeah… And keeping it to the theme of lifting: beast really is a fucking beast. It was epic to see him working in my gym. all the so-called men were instantly to turned to ‘manlets’ in his shadow.
So…put in work today. Felt pretty good, although, I was wee bit hungry. Would’ve gone a bit longer had I not had my mojo broken by the gym staff… “You have to put you bag in a locker, sir.” But, I made a couple of contacts for the Personal Training work I want to pursue, so not all was lost. That, and Beast in running shorts=many a stares from both dudes and chicks. 'Specially when squatting.
26 April 2011
Evening
Squats
135 x 10 x 1
225 x 5 x 1
315 x 5 x 5
225 x 10 x 2
Walking Lunges
BW+45 x 400ft. (Would have been 600 had I not been bothered by the bag-police…)
Take-aways from this first “real” session:
-They have hired a bevy of fit ladies to work the gym.
-Got recruited for the Powerlifting Team
-There is a demand for PTs
-I MUST teach myself to use the speedbag
-My motivation for today lay with a certain Beauty to the north of me. ![]()

This ^ is awesome, hope you go for it man, you’ll wreck some meets, simply destroy them.
my brain went tilt at the mental image of Beast squatting in running shorts.
sigh.
So, this morning was a major annoyance. Got a knock on my door last night after 10, with word that I had to take a PT test first thing this morning. My natural reaction was “WTF???” And that was with lots of merit, as I was in the clear, due to the deployment. But, with no choice, I went ahead and took it. I guess these motherfuckers expected me to fail, but the joke’s on them. I just did the bare minimum for all three events, although, I was hurting on the run.
27 April 2011
Morning
Army Physical Fitness Test
Pushup (2 minute time-limit)
40
Situp (2 minute time-limit)
45
2 mile run (17 minute limit)
16:40, with a minute rest in the middle of it. Started way too fast. Had to remember that it’d been a solid year since I’d run this thing on a consistant basis.
But, with it all said and done, I sent a mental middle-finger to the haters. Fuck this bullshit…

I’m so looking forward to setting up my own space to lift and do as I please. I hate big gyms. I hate the ridiculous, contradicting, and oftentimes arbitrary rules that comes with training at a “commercial” gym. Why am I expressing frustration now? Well, I have various items I keep with me when training. Fat Gripz, a small bag of chalk, water, wraps, etc. It’d be silly and awkward to carry all of this without a bag of sorts. Apparently, there is a gym-nazi who doesn’t comprehend the absurdity of this, or of going back and forth to the locker-room to retrieve said items. Rules are rules… Yet, you are the very people trying to recruit me for the post powerlifting team? And I can’t even use chalk? Nice reminders why I keep to myself and oftentimes keep a scowl on my face. When it came time for conditioning, I went after the Thai-bag (longer than a standard heavybag, for kicking). Well, the rules state that you cannot kick the bag, due to the wearing of shoes. So, I took mine off. The floors are exceptionally clean here, so I saw no issue. Well, after a good 15 minutes of working it, another employee approaches me to say that I must wear shoes. I explained to him why I took them off (bag preservation and all). He retorts that it’s a new bag, so I can kick with shoes on. I just shook my head, put my shoes back on, and left. Looks like I’ll be seeking out space sooner than expected. But, here’s the work for today:
28 April 2011
Evening
Hang Cleans
95 x 5 x 2
135 x 3 x 1
185 x 3 x 4
My elbow started talking to me, so I err’d on the side of caution and stopped.
BB Rows (w/Fat Gripz)
135 x 10 x 5
This sucked so good… My forearms were humming.
DB Rows (w/FGs)
Right Arm-70 x 10 x 3
Left Arm-70 x 8 x 1, 60 x 10 x 2
See the discrepancy?
Forearms were singing soprano. Hands told me to fuck off.
Pullups
BW x 8 (pause at top and bottom) x 3
Farmers Walks
100 x 300ft
Hands were droppin the “n” bomb at me.
Abs, Jumprope, and Thai-bag work x 45 min.
