I’ve done that. The only difference was I had a piece of bacon on top too. Melty PB is the best!

A grocery store I go to sometimes has a big selection of nuts and a grinder that churns out fresh ground nut butters, no oils added. That stuff is crazy good. Cashew is the bestest.

Now I realize why the whole Powerlifters are fat mentality is still going strong… You got guys whom are going to local gyms who cant even Bench body weight who are over weight Using the excuse that they are "Power lifters" for not losing the excessive body weight.Yeah, no sorry your not…unless you plan on doing a actual Meet or have done one can not use that excuse ! Even than its a weak excuse… No wonder your average gym rat believe that Power Lifters are all Fat , since they have never attended a actual Meet. With there only frame of reference being guys I just mentioned.

I’m a lazy college student, and have deadlifted and squatted in pajama bottoms I wore to bed the night before. There I said it.

I think it’s rather dependent on your location. In Singapore at least, when you say powerlifter. People generally think of small guys who deadlift a minimum of 3x bodyweight or something like that. Then again, this is a country where the average male weighs 70kgs and the government modified the BMI index so as that can fit “smaller Asian frames”, basically anyone who isn’t (what I would consider) skinny is considered overweight.

Crap.

Guess I have to actually cut weight.

At least I can bench more then I weigh

Except for a few sips at the gym, I drink essentially no water. I get all my liquids via Coke Zero, Caffeine-Free Coke Zero, and coffee (reg and decaf).

Except for half a can of green beans and a forkful of sauerkraut every other day, I eat essentially no veggies.

I get nothing out of HIIT except exhaustion. I’ve given it a fair trial more than once, and feel like it had zero impact on my body comp, and a definite negative impact on my energy levels. For me, LISS is much more effective for fat loss.

I’m the complete opposite. I get 90% of my liquids from water and the other 10% from whiskey!

I really eat no veggies. Zero. I even remove them from my Big Macs.

Probably should say Over fat, since saying over weight can be very misleading. I find it amusing that my oldest is considered obese by BMI standards .

I honestly do think being overweight by BMI standards should be a goal of sorts hah!

Yeah I would agree… Besides I favor BF% over BMI any day of the week.

Is the no veggies thing backed up by research or just personal preference?

I know that veggies get great press for everything health related. But I’ve often wondered if it’s because in studies:

  1. The increased veggie intake is vs the standard American diet (SAD). So a low bar.
  2. Veggies have micronutrients and fiber.
  3. Veggies are really voluminous and satiating. They keep you from eating other things.

So theoretically if you take a multi, some fiber and control calories there’s no huge advantage to veggies.

Never underestimate the power of broccoli and spinach!
Just kidding… I ate a bag of flaming hot pork skins instead :joy:

Oh, it’s research-based all right. I started the investigations when I was a kid, and was forced to eat brussel sprouts, broccoli, green peas, spinach, etc. I developed conclusive evidence that I don’t like veggies.

Maybe I’m an unwitting dupe of Big Veggie, but I feel like I should eat way more than I do. So why don’t I?

–As previously stated, I don’t like veggies (unless potato chips count);
–I lack the discipline needed to make myself do something I should do, but don’t want to do (to wit, eat veggies); and
–I am too damn lazy to look into creative ways to make veggies more palatable (which, if successful, would knock out both of the above objections).

Here’s hoping you’re correct on this score.

Are you ever concerned about potential dangers of the sweeteners etc that are in zero-sugar drinks? I know there’s no real evidence that they are bad for you - it’s just I drink quite a lot of the stuff, and often wonder if it’s having any negative consequences.

Haha very true!

Yes, I have to say this definitely crosses my mind.

If I don’t do these 5 things in a single workout (Squat/Pull/Push/Core/Condition) I feel like I didn’t get a good workout in.
