Still Bad Ass

My Dad bears a slight resemblance to him and he’s been pretty proud of it all his life. So I made him watch Death Proof with me and laughed my ass of at the ending.

Pfft! That’s back when he was natty. They would have never killed him once he found the juice. Just look at that jawline!

Seriously, in this PC day and age, who would play Snake Plissken in a reboot(oh no, I mean remake)?

The guy that played the young Han Solo?
Chris Pine?
Deadpool?
Miles Teller?
The Aussie guy that played Kyle Reese in the last Terminator movie?
Shia LaBeouf?

Will they just say, “fuck these girly men” and make a silly, self-aware splatter flick with Samuel L Jackson? “Call me Plisskin again, motherfucker! I dare you! I double dare you!”

Will it be a low budget straight to DVD remake with Nicholas Cage just to make a quick buck?

Will they do a gender reversal and bring in Charlize Theron because they’re too lazy to come up with real badass female characters like the one she played in Fury Road and then call everyone sexists if they don’t like it because it’s really a fucking stupid idea?

Will it be a self-deprecating, half-comic version starring Bruce Campbell where he has to trip on something or say something stupid and make everyone around him cringe every time he does something badass?

Will there be a stupid, redundant, fan pandering scene explaining the origin of the name “Snake”?

Will they attempt to create a “(Neutered) Anti-heroes-who-were-all-ripped-off-from-Kurosawa’s-Yojimbo Universe” with other characters like Mad Max and The Man with No Name? You think this sounds absurd? Look what they tried to do with The Mummy, Frankenstein’s monster, Victor Frankenstein and Dracula.

What is there to debate, you are big and strong as fuck. Clearly it worked

Bruce Campbell as Snake Pliskin would only be acceptable if Kurt plays the Surgeon General.

Whoowee, he’s seriously extremely attractive to me.

Espeacially in that Whiplash movie about contemporary music.

Ugh. Him, Michael Cera, and Jessie Eisenberg. And it’s not even because of their acting. That semi-derpy thing they got going for them is something I’m perfectly okay with.

I really don’t even want to consider this. A remake now would be…just… I don’t even have the words to describe it. No! Just no.

Casting any of those guys would be like Toby Maguire starring in a remake of Commando lol. “I eat Green Berets for breakfast!”

You know it’s coming.

They even remade CHIPS! No one could possibly have wanted a remake of Chips!

Point taken!

They’ve already announced a remake last year with Robert Rodriguez directing. Haven’t heard anything since though.

I watched this on a flight a few weeks ago. It was more entertaining to watch infant in front of me scream.

I googled this. How heartbreaking. The only good part was they are considering Gerard Butler. That means it could go either way. :disappointed_relieved:
Can they not think for themselves anymore?

I can’t stand it when people misspell the word definitely.

To me it’s baffling how few people get it right. I’ve seen it all: definately, defianitely, defiantly, defenetely, dafenitely, defenantly :anguished:

To true. For all intensive purposes, I have to agree your right; its frustrating, irregardless of there reason.

Oh look I’ve got a puppy who follows me around waiting for me to post something so he can make fun of it! So cute :monkey_face:

That wasn’t making fun of what you said.
