I don’t understand the hate for the “pussy pad”. To me, it seems perfectly logical to use one unless you’re low bar squatting. Why the hate?
Well that’s obviously because lifting weights is HARDCORE and if you in any way try and make it easier on yourself then you’re not as HARDCORE as someone who does it HARDCORE.
I don’t know about you, but I, personally, make gainz, not excuses. The gym is my battlefield and I am a warrior.
(also it makes the bar unstable, but it’s mostly the HARDCORE thing)

This has always puzzled me. Most of the population use their hands every day for various activities, so why don’t people try to toughen their hands up at every opportunity? Especially guys. Although I don’t use gloves when handling timber or when grinding so it’s probably just me.
I dont get the pussy pad label. Low or high bar, the bar shouldn’t need padding if you know what you are doing. It should be called a noob pad or something.
I once tried a Safety Squat Bar without pads… that should be the test on whether you’re a pussy or not. Brutal LOL.
