The Flame-Free Confession Thread

For my issue, I had to ditch the app and go thru the website. He blabbled on about something with safari and google chrome… blah, blah, blah. But! It did work.

It’s definitely just background noise when I’m lifting. Cardio is a diffrent story.

Only at the end of the rest periods. Some of us aren’t indestructible and take breaks :joy:

Fun story: once, while performing seated chain suspended good mornings, after the set was over, I thought it was real annoying that the song on my earbuds kept skipping.

I then realized I was listening to an MP3, not a CD, and that I was most likely experiencing some manner of psychological hemorrhaging.

over on PM he had them all convinced he was an olympia-level prep coach and drug guru. They even had him as a featured member.

Happened to me once too doing ungodly leg press drop sets a couple of years ago. Soon as I got done I thought I downloaded a scratched cd onto my iPod only to realize my tension headaches were so bad I would black out in a few seconds. Haha

Are you guys talking about the “ELITE exercises” guy?

Not sure if it’s the same guy as I don’t remember the “ELITE exercises guy.”

This dude was just mega-troll, pathological liar type stuff. It was a while ago now and the only things I can remember clearly were a thread he started where he claimed he didn’t want to deadlift because deadlifting killed his grandad and his whole family unit was destroyed as a result.

In another thread he claimed he was bigger and stronger than Chad Waterbury before he’d ever even touched a weight, which is why he wouldn’t do a Waterbury program.

EDIT: he actually contacted me through PM (I never post there so I don’t know how he even found my username) and offered me a personalised diet and drug plan.

For the low price of only $997. But wait, there’s more…

Huh? No flame, I just have no idea what that is.

“Killed his grandad” meaning, eg, granddad blew an aneurysm trying to pull 6 plates? Or, killed him as in someone else was DLing, and the bar fell on the old feller and skooshed him?

No worries dude. This was one of the variants I did

Also did one with an SSB, and zercher axle good mornings off pins. This was while rehabbing my ACL, since I couldn’t deadlift heavy.

If I recall correctly, he suffered a spinal injury performing the lift which caused him to slowly sicken and die.

If only he’d used a trap bar.

Not everyone dives but every team has one. Fans loathe it but the governing bodies aren’t willing to do what is necessary and investigate instances and ban players who do it in any circumstance (meaning not just when they obtain a distinct advantage from it). It’ll carry on until then.

my buddy was signed on for Chelsea from age 14 to 17, they used to have training sessions on diving and how to invite a touch and make it look genuine. When clubs are treating it as a skill and teaching it to the youth players it’s always gonna be part of the game now.

Yeah I guess so. I’m probably biased and seeing it more often than it actually happens since I consider it the one of the worst ways a man can disrespect himself lol.

What? Are you serious? This is hilarious! Any idea how these sessions were conducted? Did they go into stuff like taking advantage of the referee and the linesmen’s line of sight while diving?

Yeah 100% serious. We played together at a 5 a side tournament once and everyone wanted to kill him. He was trained to fool top level referees, so local level ones fell for it every time, our opposition were going mental!

Luckily as an Everton fan I don’t have to worry about this kind of thing. We’re not nearly smart or savvy enough to game the system
