Yeah, or maybe too many reps or not enough.
Possibly doing them too fast or too slow too.

I’m no fan of croc rows. All I did was get sore. Not bigger.
Since I’ve moved to predominantly all strict chest supported work for back, my traps, upper back and lats have made real improvements. Plus, it’s far easier to recover from.
All this heavy db heaving has a toll on recovery. That shit is tough.
I took inspiration from you guys racing to 100 reps of DB rows with 60#. I know I’m not near as strong so I thought “I’ll start with 40# for 100 strict reps and then move up slowly.”
Nope. I will catch up… but that was humbling.
Many of the fitness authors whose articles got me fired up to train and buy into their hardcore-ness many years ago (long before I think I actually had an real understanding of training or nutrition) I now view as complete idiots giving horrible advice and their tales nothing more than showing how uninformed they really were.

I really liked the 16 week detailed bodybuilding program included. I followed it after my ACL rupture, since it was so completely outside my wheelhouse. Also used the bench workout in there for a few cycles. But fanboyism is a part of it too, haha.
I’m not much of a DB rower really. I seem to be averaging 20-25 reps with 105 at best.
@littlesleeper @T3hPwnisher are you guys doing this too? @brady888 have you tried this in awhile? I haven’t done them since that last time I posted. May try again tomorrow
I don’t even know what this is.
That’s what I thought. Brady said awhile back in his log that he wanted 100 reps with a 60 on bent over single arm dumbbell rows with the other arm hanging.
Crap. I was doing them supported. Back to the basement.
I don’t know if it even qualifies as a “this”.
I was attempting to improve my grip, so I wanted to be able to row a 60 lb. Dumbbell 100 times with strict form.
Something I like is double overhand axle rows. Go for rep PRs and use rest pausing. Once the grip is fried, throw on the straps and hammer the crap out of your back.
Care to name names sir?
I wouldn’t on a public forum, just not good form. Anyone’s who ever gone out for burgers n beer with me has probably heard some hindsight reflections (rantings?) though.
Those with a good eye who have been online for a while have probably caught my disagreeing with certain suggestions or advice and known who I was referring to, but I won’t blast anyone outright, especially now that there’s so much actual research proving how ridiculous some of their writings were.

When skimming posts I see Beyond with a capital B and my mind fills in everything past Bey, which turns Beyond into Beyonce.
Doesn’t happen with lowercase b’s.
I thought you’d say that but it was worth a try ![]()
@Basement_Gainz @oldbeancam - Nope the 100 reps DB rows wasn’t me! I may have been involved in the conversation, but definitely can’t do 100reps of a 60# DB, I doubt I could get 100reps @ a 30# DB!
I sometimes mix up @bulldog9899 and @RampantBadger. Like I don’t mix them up yet at the same time, I do. Does that even make sense?
Maybe because we use animal names? ![]()
You have possibly one of the dry-est?/driest? senses of humor on the internet -very funny.
Are you like this in real life too? Just curious, I’m only asking because I’m a student of human nature, and I figure you would answer honestly plus not take offense.
