I’m honestly thinking about a complete change and training crossfit (FLAME-FREE).
Are you finally going to kip?
You may be in for a rude shock ![]()
I agree with all that.
But past that, it’s a train wreck.
You can’t completely think/do for people or they become dependent. Millions of examples out there, most notably govt led entitlements.
This is where he’s at now. Seriously, go read the questions in his forum!
Do you seriously not believe he’s crossed the line with this latest book?
That book is going to born copious amounts of program hoppers.
We all know where that leads you.

Haha, took the words right out of my mouth.
Nah, can’t do it…
Lol, true.
I’d like to announce the development of my new training system. It’s called 6/4/2, and it’s going to revolutionize weight training. (You’re especially going to enjoy the Riddler sets.) Details to follow.
The “complete change” you are speaking to is becoming less complete.
Buy in man. I did extreme stretching with DoggCrapp and rib cage expansion with 20 rep squats. It’s all lunacy, but it’s THEIR lunacy.
That is true. The more I read about the way top level guys train the more I’m like, “Okay, these guys aren’t really that out there.”
I’m just getting tired of the rigidity of some established programs like 5/3/1.
Ok first confession session…
I don’t deadlift, I rack pull.
I don’t back squat, I front squat.
The only barbell benching I do is close grip.
I’m not bothered about being strong (although getting stronger is a nice side effect of training).
On some upper body days I do only a single exercise in the free weight area before spending the rest of my time amongst the cables and machines.
Honestly I never had a problem with crossfit as much as crossfitters. Too many damn “Level 346 master CrossFit Trainer” or whatever bullshit out there. Not to mention they teach a snatch and clean in about 30 minutes. There’s more problem there than most tbh.
I went once to an open workout at a local box. the workout had 18 power cleans per round. EIGHTEEN!
I’ve enjoyed the games since they started in '08 or whatever, but I always understood it was a competition, not a training style. I think that’s where a lot of the disconnect is.
Lol, Jesus…
Another confession, I really hate to squat and I strongly dislike bench.
lol. I did not return.
OK,… this is a confession thread…
When we moved a couple of years ago to have more room for the baby, my wife really reinforced the idea that “it’s all about the baby”… which makes sense, and I 100% agree…
BUT,… all my really cool trophies, framed photos and appearances in magazines, and various other bodybuilding paraphernalia that I was so proud of, not just as a competitor, but even as a fan of the sport, was boxed up and banished to the basement. When I have to go down there to check the circuit breaker, or look for anything we’ve stored away, I always spend a few extra minutes looking around at my old “war mementos” and get a little misty…
S
get a life size cardboard cutout of one of your show pics and stand it up in the corner of your room
Or, for every baby pic that goes on the wall, demand that a comp pic of yours goes up as well.
1:1 ratio. Eminently fair. Marriage is all about compromise…
Lol, I can see that happening…
