I read it. Crazy stuff. What amazes me is that there are plenty of other web forums where you can actually interact with Pros (active and retired) who all are pretty forthcoming about subjects that on here always seem to get a few people all upset.
The way I see it (and people can feel free to disagree), is that the sport is the way it is, and you can either accept it, focusing on the more positive stuff, or you can stick your head in the sand and pretend that everything about bodybuilding is perfect and anyone who says otherwise is just stirring up shit.

Ok.
Did you ever have the offer of being “schmoed” and if not, are you not a bit disappointed?
Not because you wanted to, but because noone asked?
Have you O?

No.
I was only offered money to carry someone in a sedan chair in a toga.
In a nightclub.
I feel that my schmoeing credentials are lacking.
I have been outshmoed.
This makes more sense now. Always wondered who the fuck he was on the cam with, now I know. Thanks T-Nation.

You might be surprised how much money that guy might have earned for that webcam show. I know a guy who clears 500 to 1,000 bucks per week, tax free, from the comfort of his own living room, in his spare time away from his day job, doing that sort of work. He told me he sometimes can get away with a higher per minute rate the more cocky and dickheaded he acts.

More power to him. Easy money if you can get it and can stomach what the guy on the other end of the cam is up to.

It is simply that judging someone as a “moocher” because their significant other let them sleep and train in priority is a little lame.
Why?
Because a “high level Olympia competitor” would be bringing in money and could have the luxury of considering THAT his job if it paid enough and/or his significant other was willing to let him focus on that alone.
Competition on that level isn’t just a hobby.
It’s great to do what you want to do. I’m sure most people would want to do what they want to do. They just cannot and need to hold a job because they would starve to death and/or not have a place to live otherwise.
If you do what you want to do and let yourself be supported entirely by someone else, then you’re at the very least dependent. Though moocher is probably not the best word here. Dependent and whatever perjoratives you may choose to substitute probably fits better.
It should still be frowned upon if you’re a legal adult though.
You seem to have assumed quite a bit here but I think I explained this above.

Two whole pages of discussing gay for pay? With memes? I am being serious when I say that you make this out to be some epidemic in bodybuilding.
This is the age of internet…where people will pay you money to simply take off your shoes on camera if they have a foot fetish. (Kali did one of these and it is the funniest shit on the internet…“My name is Kali…come look at these feet!”).
I just don’t see the danger here that you do. If dummies will pay for anything, short of truly pornographic issues, I don’t see the problem.
Someone paid Kali just to take his shoes off.
More power to him.
I personally do not think Yangs and Kalis mix very well at all.
Everyone knows Asians can’t dance or gain muscle.

The man I spoke of was completely broke and severely ill at the end of his career–NOT a hobby–up until years later getting a job with one of the industry’s most popular magazines/websites.
How many pros actually make a decent living from being a pro? What, like 5 to 10 at any given moment?

Yes, memes I find funny. Ever think of having a few laughs in life or in a hobby? Rather, am I ALLOWED to post stuff I find funny which you don’t?
Epidemic? I don’t use that word for this phenomenon, but it’s damn prevalent and with the internet word spreads and the evidence is right there. It is VERY common, ranging from simple posing with no contact with another male to masturbation to full blown intimacy with other men. The list is quite extensive.

Have you thought about writing novels?
I’m not sure why you’d say this. I haven’t considered it. My life isn’t that interesting or exciting.

Question, do you have a problem with this specifically? If so, why?

That really is of no consequence…because some of them still can…which means focusing on that alone for SOME people can’t be bad unless they are literally taking ADVANTAGE of someone else.
A girlfriend or wife saying she will keep working while you focus on something only, as YOU put it, 5 or 10 people make any decent money at…while you ARE one of those people is a “career choice”.

I already stated THREE TIMES OR MORE in this thread that I don’t and that I consider tasteful nude photography to be ART.

You don’t like my posts and you don’t like my outlook on life. That’s fine. I accept that.
