Looked it up for you. Dr. Darden advised men over 6’2 and more than 250 lbs. need an additional 300 calories daily. And very active men require 300 more calories per day. Where the the 3 slices of whole wheat bread (+210 calories) came in was on Week #3, when calories per day rose to 1500 a day. Weeks 1 & 2 were 1300, wk #3 was 1500, wk #4 - 1400, wk#5 - 1300, wk#6 - 1200. That was without the additional 300 calories per day for big or active men.
