They sure as hell feel like it on the 5th set.

Warmup: Air dyne and band work

5x40, 5x50, 5x55, 3x60, 2x65, 1x70 kg those were heavy

Bench Press
5 x 60 kg
5 x 67,5 kg
5 x75 kg - 165 lbs
13 x 75 kg PR with good bar speed I think

Overload unrack for 10 sec
3 x 1 @ 105 kg

Back off
10 x 67,5 kg
10 x 60 kg

OHP
6 x 2 @ 42,5 kg - 94 lbs

Circuit 3 rounds of

Bulgarian split squats left leg 12 x 10 kg
Cable chest supported row 12 x 50 kg
Bulgarian split spuat right leg 12 x 10 kg
Pushup x 10
DB curl 10 x 10 kg

Ended with a tabata on the Airdyne.

Done in about an hour.
The first week of PR sets have started this cycle up really well.

Yeah I’m really happy about that. Because I was a bit worried about that volume stuff not doing any PR work, I’ve tried it before and came back weaker, but not this time.

Where’s the pause??? Because I’d have no problem ā€œpausingā€ while the weight was on the floor. I mean that’s almost the same as the bottom position in a squat, right? The moment before you ā€œliftā€ the weight?

1-2" off the floor, pause for a three count (so ~1.5 seconds), it gets real nasty real fast

If you paused only on the floor no doubt you could do 20+ reps, but when the pause forces you into an uncomfortable position it’s a whole another world
