guns

  • EZ curl: 27,5 kg @ 10, 14 + 7 rest pause
    .

49 minutes + 10 minutes warm up.

.

Squat was a bit all over the place, but got all the reps and could have done more.

Deadlift was hard, but doable.

I am wasted after this workout, the giant set I started the program with is degraded to 1 rest pause set of curls.

I’m absolutely certain that the squat and bench combined with dips and pull ups are more than enough.

You’ll think there’s been good carryovers into your regular deadlift from the pauses? What form does it take?

Do you want that to happen to the Commonwealth, EU, and/or USA? Serious question, not being facetious.

No, I don’t. It isn’t happening, either. What is happening is what is necessary to reduce infection, which is at times inconvenient.

Well I’m hoping It’ll strengthen my lower back, helping it to be more rigid. I think the weight is getting to the limit at the moment.

Well I think that @MarkKO meant that the liberties outside the western world is not as given as it is in our part of the world.
So when we’re told to not to something it has a big impact on our daily life. Not so much in other part of the world.

Practically might do just that but so could a bunch of other movements like tempo deads?

Made a mistake today, I did some running before lifting.

Todays training: Bench PR + OHP 5 x 8

Viking 531 BBB

C3W2D2

Warmup: KB bottom up press, BPA + fluff
.

Bench

  • 5 x 60, 67 kg

  • 3 x 75 kg

  • 8 x 75 kg + 8 x 60 kg dropset

OHP

  • 5 x 9 @ 32,5 kg

Supersetted alternated between bench and OHP

  • BB row 6 x 10 @ 55 kg

  • Bench ab tuck 6 x 16 reps

.

Giantset

  • DB Bent reverse delt raise: 10 kg’s 3 x 14 reps

  • push up: 14, 14, 13

  • KB swing 3 x 20 @ 16 kg

.

45 minutes + 10 minutes warm up.

F’ck big mistake, thought I’d run before lifting today. Not my usual 20 minutes. So I did 2 x 1 km run, ended up being close to all out 1 km runs.

4:36 for the first km 4:28 for the second. The fastest I’ve run since last summer. Fastest 1 km last summer 4:10 or thereabout.

Bench topset heavy but got my 8 reps and it was a rpe very close to 10.

OHP suffered as well.

Got all the sets and reps but I guess this will be the last time I’m running like that before lifting.

Have given it a thought before and tried it today, I cannot recommend it.

On a non related training note, my wife and I just bought my moms house, she’s staying for as long as she can. When she moves we’re moving in. It’s a nice house with a nice view over an old landscape made during the ice age. 130 square meters with a two car garage. That is old and I’m going to replace it with… Tada a twocar garage + a home gym.

Thanks Luc, now we have two houses and a lot of debt.
But when we eventually sells one or both houses I hope there’s enough left for retirement, but you never know with real estate.

Haha, houses and debt. We only have 1 house and a lot of debt. Houses just aren’t cheap. Not sure what house prices are in your neck of the woods, they’re not too bad here in Adelaide, but other capital cities here in Australia prices have been out of control.

In the capital of Copenhagen they are totally out of control. I live just outside and here it’s pretty expensive too. But my old man learned me one thing about buying and selling houses it’s not real money it’s paper money. It’s all about how much can you afford to pay each month on the loan.
The first apartment we bought was in center Copenhagen that time it was cheap’ish but we bought when prices were high. We sold it with a big loss, then we bought the house we have now, it was mush bigger and more expensive but prices were low so we could afford it. Now we can sell it and get money too… but we would buy something new that would be equally as expensive. So papermoney.

What’s the dream home gym gonna look like? If it’s sexy enough I might stop by one day

We don’t have one house, but we have some debt.

We hope to add a house soon.

It’s going to be very sexy, but not with a cheating deadlift bar, maybe powerpants and suits.
I have a stand thing, maybe I’m purchasing a powerrack to the mix and a ergorower could be nice as well.
I’m sticking to my barbells, DB’s and bench.
A cable thing would be nice too, but it all adds up.
And a trap bar and a SSB, and a glute ham raise and and and I’m rebuilding the whole damn house to a gym.

Sooner than later Mark, the Nike way… Just do it.
If you’re not looking yet, start looking. Look at a lot of houses.

You sign up right here, it’s very cheap, first month is for free, then you’re bound by legal rules for the next 10 years, but it’s very cheap…

I guess we should start. We’re one or two years away from a deposit.

Hope the housing market isn’t like Melbourne lol. That bubble is gonna pop hard anyways but coronavirus might just make it pop harder
