University of Victoria here
Living in St. Catharines, and train at the Y. Went to the University of Waterloo, U of T (Scarborough campus), and finished up my degree at Brock.
London is very wet right now:( Gonna walk to the dam anyway.
Grew up in Ottawa. In Toronto now, in the “starbucks/stroller infested” city…couldn’t hack the commute on the GO, I guess.
A good gym in Ottawa is the OAC: 3 squat racks, 1 power cage, two oly platforms and bumper plates, you can cover yourself in chalk for all they care, a few specialty implements (farmer walk and cambered bar) and they have an indoor track. Kinda pricey and some less than hardcore/cardio bunny members but worth it
Where’s that located? I recently joined Goodlife as it’s fairly conveniently located for me around Merivale & Huntclub, but unfortunately, it doesn’t have a single power rack and only has 2 squat racks. It’s definitely more pricey than I’d like at a bit more than $60/month.
Man, I still can’t find a decent gym within a 15minute drive of myself. So annoying!
Its around Smyth and St Laurent so probably less convenient. No idea how much it is now but probably more than $60/month. Worth a look if you’re in the area. The guy that runs the training was a PL, hence the cool equipment

Another Albertan (immigrant anyways…) here, living in Edmonton right now. Chenky you’re not alone…there’s at least half a dozen of us, powerbulker, Gabriel, Advocado is in Calgary, the list goes on.
Ouro, you’re from Herring Cove? Doesn’t get much more Eastern than that. I lived in Truro, NS for the first 18 years of my life.

Yeah, but I haven’t been there in a while. We lived all over. My dad was navy. I’d love to go back.

Fuckin` A…my kind of girl ![]()
And…Montreal is up in this biyatch!
Lived in Calgary for a summer, was good times. Partied in Deadmonton before, don`t remember jack fucking shit except getting lost and passing out by a river. The Maritimes is the shit, best people in the country, hands down. The West is the Best for hiking + mtn biking + oriental chicks
Saski chicks are naughty but the emptiness is… borderline traumatizing. Toronto is Corporate Nation, needs an enema and wishes it was as laid back and SEXY as Montreal ![]()
GO HABS GO, ostie d`tabarnac! ;-p
I’m (in Maine) about 3 hours from the border near Fredericton, NB.
Not Canada, but we have a Tim Horton’s about 10 minutes away… ![]()
Vancouver Island represent!

Try the gym at Algonquin College. When I was there last year it had 2 cages and 1 rack.
Yeah, when I lived right next to the college that’s where I went. I liked it quite a bit actually, and it’s fairly dirt cheap as far as most gym memberships go.
I’m in Burlington.
If your looking for a great place to train try SST. They have places in Burlington, Hamilton and Mississauga. Site is sstcanada.com
