The Brotherhood of Iron 1.0

MELB

Squat
145x3
235x3
325x3
465x3

Viking Briefs
505x3
525x3 (Shut It down Early)

GHR - 5x10
Pulldown Abs - 5x10 120lba
DB Shrugs 4x10
Band Pull Aparts - 3x15

The plan was to go 555x3 today, but my left shoulder is so messed up that I was torqueing to one side during my squats and had to shut it down early on Murph’s advice. The good news out of this though and that every weight felt like a joke and extremely light. I deff feel as though I’m getting stronger.

Tried rack chins for the first time today and loved them, did t-bars for first time in a long-ass time and re-loved them too. Lovely back pump going on tonight!!!

Man, no matter how much I alter my back routine, T-bar rows are always in there, fucking love them.

Yeah I’ve been sticking almost exclusively to BB rows last few months, but I’m happy to have another quality heavy-ass thickness movement to work with here as well.

For those of you who don’t know, I flew up to California to go train with Josh, Dirty Gerdy, and their new training partner Brad. This was our first day of training (my flight landed about an hour beforehand, lol). 16 minutes of footage, I tried to make it entertaining.

badass video bug, thanks for posting that.

300 pounds x 8 deadlift. (135kg) felt easy peasy. Two months ago I could barely do that weight 3 times.
Other stuff was good but nothing to the numbers being thrown around by some here[/quote]
Good shit man. I’m at 140kg for 4 hard reps at the moment, so good to know at some point they’ll feel like 110!

Back and biceps today. Feeling relatively tired, but I get a three day rest from friday so gonna hit it hard.

Loving that video bug posted. Good to know my facial expressions aren’t the stupidest around. :stuck_out_tongue:

What no youtube? Damn it…

Us grown old folk don’t have the facebooks…

Squats PR from last night of 405*4, just shy of 5 which I was planning to hit by the end of the month. Looks like my goals will have to be re-adjusted.

To be honest I kinda surprised myself in that the weight at that time just felt… “less intimidating” last night. I’m gonna have to figure out how to get into that zone more often.

Let me know what you come up with. Pretty sure I know what I have to do, it’s just getting that mind set is a bitch at times.

Beans, I set the privacy settings so “everyone” can watch it, even people that don’t have Facebooks AFAIK. did you even try? Each video is 15+ minutes long and YouTube doesn’t like them longer than 10… would rather NOT break it up into smaller parts.

You should be able to watch…

Chest today. Went pretty well. Hitting inclines first on the BB. Jumped on the decline for the first time in many months. That felt good as well. I’ve been reported to the gym manager for destroying equipment and lifting heavy weights. I bent a bar doing shrugs and snapped the bracket that enabled me to do t-bar rows. So I had the gym manager being plate boy for me this morning. He’s on my side. There’s only so much a man can do to silence 300 lbs over his chest.

Chest/tris

Incline BB
135xwarm up
225x10
275x10
315x8
335x5 barely

Decline BB
185x16
225x12
275x10
315x8
185xfailure

Flat DB
90x12
100x12
110x12
110x10
60xfailure

I need bigger DBs at this gym

Hi Pulley crossover
4x15

Rope pressdowns
4x15

Mini EZ bar pressdown
4x15

Im using a certain NOX product that I believe is tainted with some sort of amphetamine. I coupled this with a certain energy drink and the results were amazing. I recommend such a marriage of supplements.

Yea I hear you. I workout late night before sleeping (not by choice) so it makes it even harder to get into that zone.

The only thing I could have imagined is that I foam-rolled for 5 minutes beforehand then did, on a whim, 3*3 of jumping squats w/ 225lbs (~50% of max) to wake my ass up. Nothing like weights on your back with the potential to damage your knees and back to snap you into attention lol.

I tried it before but attributed to the first time being a fluke. Maybe not…

ME Bench Deload?

Bench
135x3
225x3
315x5

4 Board
405x1
455x1
495x1

Pull Ups - 5x10
Pushdowns - 3x12
Cable Curls - 3x10
Facepulls - 6x10

315x10 Front squats, no belt, 405x10 back squats, with belt, both same session, which basically makes the back squats a PR since it ties previous PR, but previous PR was done fresh. This time it was AFTER the frotn squats…which was +2 reps itself. So good shit all in all.

I think I liked you more when you were the high rep guy going for long runs and such and not consistently beating me down on deads and squats…I may have to try deads sumo, though, based on your numbers.

Fallen, those are some impressive incline numbers as well.

Don’t worry ajweins, h4m is a cheater!

This is true Aj. H4M is on bulgarian monkey extract…

god damn Fallen your numbers on incline totally destroy mine. Fuck. Back to that good ol’ grindstone. 335 for reps please.

Also, here are the rest of the videos of our training sessions. Each one is around 15 minutes give or take… and I’m a nub video editor so it fucks up at some parts, but I tried to capture it without making it too boring.

But your facial beauty has no match…

It went pretty good. I had a pretty good vibe going and I had a good spotter for the entire session. On top of that I had some new songs on my Ipod. We share the same form on the incline too.

It’s the eggs, I’m telling you. If only I could afford to weigh 240-260ish right now, it would be game fucking on! Damn I’m jealous of y’all.
