heavys and supers should be interesting. liberatore, lockett and alvisis all look good. sean allen and ed nunn look great in the supers.

and trey brewer looks to have made huge improvements from his last (disappointing) show - YouTube

edit: just read lockett was a no show at weigh ins, strange

I’m very interested to see who comes out of the light heavy class… it is STACKED this year.

Ed Nunn is fucking sick. That is all.

You’re welcome

Ed Nunn is not bad at all, crazy hams.

I had to quit on the back squats for now due to a rotator cuff strain. Cant get my right arm all the way back. Started hitting the legpress hard and heavy. Front squats, straightleg dead and calf raises. 4x12 on these. Simple and its working provided I progress every week. I used to scoff at the legpress machine but I am actually gaining size very well with it. I will go back to back squats when I can again and then switch off every couple months from here on out.

yeah, the leg press kinda has a bad rap cause people think its easier or whatever.

you know what though, the leg press is like the squat, you can make it easy by controlling how far you let it go down just like how low you squat. i cant squat ass to grass, maybe i could with some work but on the legpress i use i have it set up so close that i have to stand up, put my legs on it and then drop my hips in in order to get set up, basically my knees are only a few inches away from my shoulders.

its a horizontal leg press but its actually harder than the vertical slanted one. but its also much better because it caters to your lower back versus the vertical which actually stresses it because the idiots who made it are, idiots. thank god for Hammer Strength.

Edit: What NOT to do in the SQUAT RACK

I was disappointed in Brewer at the Nationals. Honestly he hasn’t really made any improvements that I can see since he won the Excalibur. It looks like he needs to learn how to pose still as well.

Idk I know his bulk had to do him some good but some other things must not be clicking.

I am also dissapointed in Peter Putnam. First I’m very jealous of his HOT wife and the guy looks like a goober. lol His physique just doesn’t impress me. Not enough to be considered a ‘professional bodybuilder’ anyways.

Liberatore deserves a pro card. I think Guy Cisternino will be another possible contender in the 202 class but it depends on if he can put on more size.

Nunn deserved it. He looked good.

I think the leg press gets a bad rap because most of the people I see using it fill it with plates and use about 3 inches of movement. I set it to the greatest range and take it all the way there every rep. I cant pile on as many plates but what the hell its working. Every tool has its use and weakness.

I like the Leg Press; I just feel it better after 5-6 sets of squats. Doesn’t feel that effective if it’s the first thing I do, though.

Personal thing, I guess.

I squat and Leg Press…sometimes in the same workout.

They both have their place.

Depending on how you drive can determine which part of the leg gets hit most.

Most people are glute dominant, etc on squat and quad dominant on leg press.

It seems easier to press with the toes on leg press than squat.

I’ve been doing a lot of narrow leg presses in hopes to give more sweep to my legs. It seems to be working.

DG

im glute dominant no matter what i do.

like i said earlier, i do my entire quad workout minus ext’s on the press and i always have DOMS in my glutes and its usually there before the quad DOMS.

interesting youre keeping your legs closer to get a better sweep, im doing the opposite. the closer i have my legs the more of my, knee-cap/tear drop or whatever the name of that thing is, that gets hit. thats also a place im dominant.

lol i always hear people saying they cant hit their glutes or teardrop but thats always where i feel it the most, its not such a bad thing guys cause i still feel like my legs are small; although i am noticing improvements.

On the legpress machine I have to put my legs up towards the top to hit my glutes hard.

Squat barefoot.

i dont know if it’s easier, but i feel it more in the quads and less in the hams when i do it that way, although it really depends on how the machine and thats just how it is on the one im currently using.

im telling you guys, if your gym has a Hammer Strength Leg Press USE IT

Bump so LankyMofo won’t be sad.
