I’m trying to bulk up and add strength (just like everybody else!!) but I’m on a limited budget.
I’m currently taking fish oils, BCAA’s and a protein shake. However I would like to start taking ZMA,is it possible to drop the shake and just take the BCAA’s and ZMA or is a post workout shake a neccesity?
Your pre and post workout cannabis is essential for two reasons. One, it will keep appetite elevated resulting in extended bulking, and two, it will keep you numb and pain free when your 185 one rep max attempt staples you to the bench. (J/K)
Protein and post-workout recovery like Surge does trump ZMA in the hierarchy of muscle building nutrition. ZMA is great however, if you can budget it in.
ZMA is overrated. I did not notice jack shit. Nor did any of my buddies who has used it. PWO’s however are great. Or you could just mix some carb powder with som protein powder and mix your own PWO.

You must be one of those guys who just goes out and buys supps without knowing anything about it. ZMA is zinc. It’s not a Test/D-bol stack, so I don’t know what you were expecting.
It’s great at keeping your zinc levels optimal to keep your test up, but if you aren’t deficient (or are getting zinc from your daily multi), then you won’t notice much. Besides, it’s not what I could consider a “notice” supplement anyway… except for the vivid dreams.
Bottom line, I’ll gladly drop 9 bucks a month to make sure my zinc levels are optimal.

On the contrary I think that I “felt” the ZMA. I noticed that recovery is noticeably improved when I took it properly.[/quote]
ZMA is good but just a suggestion is to take calcium before bed it had similar effects and you should cycle the ZMA so use the Calcium on the off cycle it’s dirt cheep (walmart) oh and you forgot the Fish Oil Tabs Cheep (walmart) and very important…
