I think the movies were originally in French or German (IIRC). But the books are still in re-print and will live on for many generations to come.

Yeah man I liked that cartoon… but sometimes it gave me headaches like the Episode that told the story of the man pushing the rocks (The Myth of Sisyphus), it left with a weird feeling.
