Git, the good news is that the special surprise is indeed related to Hump Day (yay!). Just not this Hump Day (boo!). Unfortunately we all need to wait 2 weeks for said surprise. Sorry.
Anyways, while I’m here I’ll simply add that I found a new way to work up to doing hand stand pushups! Using the boxes to do feet elevated pushups was proving too easy, and when I would do them against the wall I wasn’t getting a full range of motion.
That’s when I discovered that I could use the Smith machine - just adjust bar to desired height, get in a pushup position with instep on bar and go at it. Good times! You can also use dumb bells for better wrist alignment, FYI.
Other than that no heavy lifting, but been killing the conditioning. In fact, last night I did over 2+ hours of core, conditioning and resistance work. Lactic acid FTW! I also did it on an almost completely fasted state and had no problems, altho i did eat 3K calories the night before…but I just wanted to see if I would be able to play a full 90 min game while eating warrior-style. Turns out yes, yes i can.
I’m toying with pulling some conventional DLs tonight, since I know I’ll have to keep them light - but then I’ll be pulling from a deficit and I’m not sure I want to mess with that…we’ll see.
