ya, we had a nice cool down last week, but the heat is back…yuck. Your weekend sounded like a good time.

Sprained thumb?!?! That sucks. Thumbs are super important for lifting.

Um…weighted situps, back raises, one armed dumbbell stuff? There is plenty of work you can do while that heals up.

Thumb is getting better - but you’re right Kimba, there’s plenty that can be done.

That being said, it took all but the will of God to get me into the gym last night. Thankfully, I’m officially on deload, so anything goes.

I won’t post the details, but I did shoulder prehab, YWTLs, some circuity type stuff, glute work…

Just the fact that I made it into the gym was a success, so I’m good with that.

Sorry about the thumb, that must suck. I got a huge burn on my middle finer making dinner for some ungrateful ass man and didn’t realize how much one bad finger affects exercises.

It is an accomplishment just getting in there so kudos to you. I hope the thumb heals ASAP.

When you are injured, it takes extra special mojo to get your ass to the gym. You are right to be happy with that.

Side note: I saw a woman this morning with the most juiciest, bouncy ass ever. She had a nice figure over all but her ass was just stellar. She was walking in front of me in a small white jersey dress holding the hand of her guy and I thought to myself, “yeah you better hold on to her”. And right when they were getting in a cab she turns to the side and reveals that she’s VERY pregnant. I found it funny.

I was leaning out, but as I was just informed last night by a trainer, it looks like I’m getting a little fatter. Granted I’m about to get my period, but I won’t lie, I’ve been stress eating. We’ll see what happens after Aunt Flo visits…

Bulgarian Split Squat - 2x15x40, 2x15x50
decline pushups - 4x15 < tried these with 1 leg on the bench to make them more challenging. I think i just need to get a higher box or something, maybe try them against the wall
DB chest flyes - 3x8x25
DB Inc Press - 3x10x25
Tri pulldowns - 12x27.5, 2x12x25

Today i’m spinning and doing pilates. I was also asked to sub into a soccer match tonight at 9p, so that should be fun (small sided 8v8). And hopefully I’ll take a nice long run over the weekend. Back under the bar on Monday.

Have you been able to tell the difference in warrior’ing -vs- eating how you were before??

Masch - what I notice from that picture is that you have a pretty severe anterior pelvic tilt. That will make your stomach stick out more than it otherwise would. More importantly, it can also lead to less than stellar form in things like squats and deadlifts and in turn, injuries. Which you don’t want.
Ya need to fix that!

The only difference I see b/w the two ways of eating is that now I can eat my carbs without getting all bloated. Even after 3 days of “refeeding” I was still able to see abz.

Cal, you are very right!! I try to remember to “walk like a gymnast”, so its something I really do need to be cognizant of.

I don’t know why the other pic isn’t showing up! But it was a front shot where my belly looked awesomely bloated. Oh well…

and Cal’s right - I’m built the same way with a wicked curved spine which juts out the belly. Sorry if I haven’t been paying attention but in terms of strength gains how has the diet worked for you? I’ve always had better results in leanness with consistent small pf and pc meals, but the lower cals also weakened me…

You’re far from fat, fatter, fattest. Lean w/a great ass is how I would describe your look.
