I think I look funny btw and today one of my trainer buddies told me that one of his clients requested they NOT look like me. HAHAH!
For this reason I think I need to lean out just a tad. The diet will help. I donāt want to get too lean, just that little extra (plus i got a bikini from Brazil and it is TINY!). Anyways, I realize that some days I eat around 1500 cals and on others I get up to 2500 - which is still a deficit compared to how I was eating before. But I donāt feel like Iām depriving myself at all - in fact Iām not
And not thinking about food all day is such a relief. So thatās getting on track.
This morning repeated squat day - 5x145. Good news is I got it - and some!
Squat -
5x95, 115, 125, 135
7x145 < just wanted to make sure I had it ![]()
1x150 < was shooting for 3x150, failed on two!
3x150 < got it
I realize that I sometimes forget to shoot through my heals and this greatly affects my lift. When I do that I donāt lose my arch and go slack in the middle - like popping straight up. Looking at the vid of the 150 tho, i feel like Iām not quite at parallel. My camera is crap so I didnāt film the 145, and now iām wondering if I hit parallel at the 145. Ah well.
Pistol Squats - 12xBW, 2x12x10 < took a cue from Snap
pike jack knife - 3x15
1 Arm DB snatch - 3x6x30 < I tried 35s but it just wasnāt happening.
Decline sit ups - 15x10, 2x15x15
Tomorrow night bench. I might try triples since that seemed to work on the squat. I donāt know.

So Iām stuck a 105. I need a rep scheme that is going to help me move past this. The triples didnāt work as I got fatigued on the 2nd set at 105. Maybe I should try the triples at a lower weight?

NG pullups - 3, 3, 2, 2, 2
Med ball pushups (1 under each hand) - 4x10 < these are still HARD!
P pullups - 5x2
side lat raises - 4x15x12.5
Russian Situps - 3x8x12.5 < i did 8 with each arm, 1 side then the other - i guess thatās right?
Kroc rows - 2x15x40 < I did one set with pronated and 1 with neutral grip
I also JUST realized I forgot to do my BB Rows!! I hate when I do that.
I wanna chime in and say you are mucho caliente (is that the right spelling?) especially when you turn around and smile once your done. awesome vid. Iām guessing some girl came in to lose weight and wants stick arms and no ass.
On a different note that squat day was huge! 3x150! well done.
For bench Iām guessing a set/rep
2x5 75lbs-80lbs
1x2 on balls out heavy 105 but donāt over do it.
1x1 on 110lbs
1x8-12 of finsher to cook them muscles at 55lbs
if you over extend youself before the max you run out of physical and mental gas but you also need a decent warmup. This approximate approach had helped me. Another tip would be to used clips, microplates or small chains cause you got a good amount of total reps on the 105lbs. I would have guessed you were capable of 110. Maybe if you had someone help you unrack the bar at 110lbs for the first couple of timeā¦
nlmain- You know it was surprising to me how few women wanted to loose their ass when I started training. Most women want to look strong and maintain a very nice round ass. Media perpetuates this idea that all women crave the Nicole Richie look, but in my experience itās the opposite.
mascherano- Thatās an awesome video. How many people were impressed to see you pulling those out?
I have one question thoguh. Why are your rack pulls less than your deadlift? Normally rack pulls are much heavier than deadlifts.

Oleena - Lol! As you could tell by the bystanders, pretty much no one cared. And as for the rack pulls, Iām doing them as an accessory exercise to build the glutes, hamstrings and low back. Thus the high rep, low weight.

Last nights training was DL. I felt like mixing it up and wanted to test out my stremph (i.e. iām getting inpatient), so I decided to try for 200. However, being the absolute idiot that I am, I ended up pulling 205. I canāt even blame it on little plates this time, just sheer stupidity. Iām a certified statistician mind you.

So yeah, the 205 DL was heavy. I got it up and it felt pretty good, but there was no way I was getting a 3rd without wrecking my back. Unfortunately, the camera has officially died, so no more vids until I get a new one. Iām bummed b/c I need the form check!
All in all, yesterday was a fun gym day. Juicy and delicious Nick taught me how to do Sissy squats, which are killer for your quads. Not sure I need bigger quads tho. I spoke with the linebacker (finally), who is actually a rugby player (even better!) andā¦MY GYM GOT KETTLEBELLS!!! Woo hoo!!
When i went to get the foam roller, I spotted the KBs in the DB bin and I mustāve been overwhelmed with giddy excitement b/c a girl close by said to me, āyouād think you just opened a box full of puppiesā. I canāt wait to play with them ![]()
Anywho, just got back from a run - 4 miles. Meh. Now Iām watching the Brazil v. Portugal game, and then iām off to the beach for some much needed Me time.

Yay on the training and the DLs! We have KBs too but only one of each weight. I think there is one pair and that is likeā¦the 25s or the 30s. I saw a guy doing lunges with them one day.
