I was racking my brain trying to figure out the YTWL acronym.
I finally figured out it.
I like your bicep pic! I think you should take some more.

Iāve found there aināt no way to go heavy on lat raises. 17.5ās for me; if I mess with the 20ās form breaks down.
Nice Masch muscles.
23%, my ass. ![]()
kmcnyc - I think my head my blow up if i were surrounded by those bensonhurst types. I have a soft spot for bklyn boys. And thanks for the tip - iāll try that out.
Deb ad Skye - thanks ladies!
Alisa - cool! then its no problem that I keep things low.

Hit the gym this am - was there for a good 2 hours. Today was upper body. Felt great!
Did the usual mobility and foam rolling, paying special attention to the upper body, what with my bitchy shoulder. but foam rolling the upper back is awkward.
N grip pullups - 4,3,2,2,1,1,1,1,1,1 < getting there.
DB incline - 8x30, 2x9x35, 5x40 < I was shooting for 8, so +1 on 35, then went for 40s. Got them up ok, but could only manage 5 reps. No bother, thatās better than usual. Sweet!
pushups - 2x15x10lb plate, then tried 25plate - holy cow! had to separate them into sets of 4, 5, 6 (how do you ladies do 8?!), went back to 10lb plate, got 15
Bent over lat raises - 4x12x15
banded pull aparts 4x15 < pretty challenging actually
Then did circuit 2x (again, how do you guys do multiple sets of these?!)
Bulgarian jump squats - 20 ea side
20lb ball swings - 20
side plank w leg lift - 20 ea side
alternating lunges - 24
lunge jumps - 15 ea leg
jump squats - 20
burned my quads right up!
Lastly, taking a cue from kimbaās log I tried to jerry rig my own GHR machine. The smith machine doesnāt go low enough, so I concocted mine with these step devices (see pic-blurry, sorry). Worked pretty good, except i need to weight the top step a little more. Plus, once you get your feet inside the contraption, its a bitch getting back out - and this is problematic if your hammies seize up and cramp, which happened to me on the 2nd rep. Hilarious. These are stupid hard! Iām sure my form was a mess!
Wow Masch I wish I could work out with you to see how you do all those jump squats and lunge jumps. Never seen anyone do them. Video please!! And pardon my ignorance, but can you tell me what a Bulgarian jump squat is, please? Thanks, girl ![]()
Yo Masch, sexy biceps :). Nice training going on there too.
Hot Tamale - no problem!
check out this vid. At 1:30 the girl does metabolic circuits. I stole some of my moves from there including the bulgarian squat jumps and jump squats. And the lunge jump is just like the jump squat but done in the lunge position.
You should totally do this. Just do one group 2-3x - sooooo good. And burns tons of calories. I do this in place of regular cardio. I still do cardio, as in steady state running or spinning, but not nearly as much as i used to.
Thanks Ronaldo! Y que pasa con el futbol? We have our first scrimmage next Sunday
Just picked up my boots back from the cobbler. The turf really wears down the leather.

me boots!

LOL @ deb.
Yeah, watch out Iām a licker.
Seeing your post about doing GHRās I have a way that may work. Weāve go a newer seated calf machine (without the center post).
If your gym has one of these you can put the knee pad on the lowest setting to hold your ankles, knees go on the pad where you sit. Make sure you have a platform in front of you for a stopping point.
