@CT I re-read you Beast evolves article from 2003 when you went from 230 to 205 lbs. I recall you were doing olympic lifts still. Looking at the photos you had a great physique power look/ athletic/ and fit.
Is it correct for me to make the conclusion that olympic lifting and proper diet could build and enviable physique without the use of isolation exercises and/or pump work?

From my recollection I didn’t do the olympic lifts during the transformation. It was a while ago but actually what prompted my transformation was a partial bicep tear that prevented me from lifting heavy for a while. Before that, everytime I dieted I would lose strength and stop because performance was my main goal. With a partially torn biceps I saw the opportunity to drop as much fat as I could… if I couldn’t get stronger, I’d get leaner.
