The Andrew Tate Case

Yeah, but the smart ones might learn more information or do more reading that can turn that smartness into something closer to wisdom.

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I rest my case.

Gay.

Obviously. But intelligence won’t change. There are a lot of dummies with degrees and advanced degrees.

So what masters degree are you interested in? Genuine question. Or career path.

I was a trainer with a guy who’s older brother got a major in botany and spanish. Now he just fucks around in the rainforest in Central America.

I agree. You can be gay and be a virgin.

Yeah it’s been a pretty gay debate.

If you know history you would know that saying something like ā€œRome didn’t have generalsā€ is a rather provocative statement, mostly because it’s wrong.

If you meant to add nuance, the time to do it was in the same post where you made the provocative statement.

Instead you leave the forum to wonder what in the hell you can possibly be talking about, and we eventually sort of figure that out like we did here.

Debate, no. Gay, yes… you are.

No, it’s not. And a smart fella like you should be able to understand the nuance without me holding your hand. Being Polish isn’t the same as having a learning disability. At least it’s not quite the same.

In summary, they spoke a different language in that time and place.

You get a point.

Nothing very exciting like that guy. Some of my professors are urging me to keep going with history, which if I did, I’d probably narrow in on some aspect of Native American history.

But I don’t think I want to spend seven years getting a PhD to work in academia and teach at the college level.

So I’ll probably get a master’s in Secondary Ed so I can teach high school and earn a bit more money than if I just had a bachelor’s. I work well with teenagers, and would like the options for community involvement that would come with being so familiar with the local school district’s students.

(@zecarlo has already shared his opinion on what to expect as a teacher. I’m well aware of the many cons of the profession.)

I haven’t seen the word gay thrown around so much since middle school.

But it seems that you will find yourself in different circumstances that might make it easier.

I’ve been told to make some changes to my vocabulary but I watch too much South Park.

The teacher I will always remember was a (hot, in hindsight) Ukrainian? (she educated a bunch of street urchins about chicken Kiev) lady who wrote in my Junior High School autograph book (too poor a school to have photo yearbooks): punny, you are funny and sunny bright, but my hope for you is that one day you will also be wise.

50+ years later, I am still working at it.

I didn’t even know this was a thing. And I went to school in an old hospital.

Sounds like a good teacher!

P.S. I don’t know why, but I just paid attention to your profile picture. Was that supposed to be a joke about Greenboy (RIP)? It’s been a few years.

Yes. Dude posted a photo of himself, supposedly; everybody commented on how it looked like some magazine photo lol. So, I decided to emulate my idol, may he return in all his glory.

My 8th grade German teacher.

Oh my god, she was freakin gorgeous! Had a really soft, almost French inflection as she spoke due to growing up in the Rhineland region.

THIS, is the kind of circumstance that the kids of the current generation will never experience again. All they’re gonna get are a bunch of crazed, narrative driven lunatics who don’t believe in ā€œappearancesā€.

The purpose of this post is to impart accurate historical information about the sociocultural trends of the 1980’s.
