I’ll agree with this…when applied to men. I’m going to say the general public has a way-inflated idea of the capabilities of female professional athletes. I can remember a Sports Illustrated article I read back when I was a kid talking about how the University of Tennessee women’s basketball team(back when it was an absolute dominant force in women’s basketball) used to practice against men(guys who had, at best, played some high school ball). And they didn’t dominate…and I’m going to assume the guys weren’t playing all that hard(I doubt guys busting female ball players’ noses, etc. would be invited back).
Conversely, I’d say the average(or even active, gym-going, roid-using) man doesn’t grasp that he would likely give up from exhaustion before landing a single punch on even an all-warrior-heart-type of professional boxer(Micky Ward, for example)-edit: forgot to finish this thought…even if the boxer weren’t throwing punches back.
