The Andrew Tate Case

This guy’s videos are very, very confronting… buuuuut the guy who makes them is a bit of a weirdo himself… not that there’s anything wrong with being a bit odd…

Yeah, I stay out of the legality side of it because I don’t know Romanian law. Or much US law for that matter.

But I do understand Mitigating Circumstances, which definitely seems to escape the hard core.

Like in the scenario I presented above. Girl #1 was definitely raised to make bad decisions and run into the mouths of predators.

Girl #2 was definitely raised to value herself and make better decisions.

Avoiding the very obvious answer to the query presented and resorting to legality, or whether something may be right or wrong determined by the use of violence and restraint devices also must be very hard core. Manifest Destiny types. Teddy Roosevelt & shit.

:man_shrugging:t2: Guess I’m just not cut from that quality of cloth.

You have to be to go that deep.

I find the stories interesting as a fellow subject of the human condition- in all its glory and sorrow.

I wonder how many men posting here would have sex with a fat, older woman if it meant significant financial reward in the future. I know some of us are married and it changes the dynamic but what about when we were in our early 20s? And if none of us would, we know there are many men who would. To make this solely a female issue, which pushes a double standard, is one of the reasons why feminism has gone off the rails.

Likely no one here excuses male misconduct, sexual or otherwise.

Numerous times in various threads we have discussed the utility of this double standard in sexual regulation (which includes keeping bastardy to a minimum). 1. It is a double standard. 2. There’s a valid reason for it.

Why must we keep the focus of threads even keeled? Must we mention male misconduct at a rate equal to how much we mention that of women?

I personally wouldn’t accept money in your example. I actually will not accept money for going against my morals, particularly anything that degrades society.

Having sex with a fat older woman would be enjoyable to many men, so the money would just be an add-on.

Qualifying the behavior as masculine or feminine is the issue. It is the same behavior for the same reasons. Calling out women for a human behavior to make them the villains is wrong.

You mean Asia, Dario is (was?) her dad.

Allow me to edit my post:

I believe the age of consent in California is 18, which is where it happened.

My bad, I meant Asia Argento

Wow that’s wild! Where I live the age of consent is 16, but Romeo and Juliet laws exist that lower the age of consent to twelve so long as both parties are young.

Crazy to think an eighteen year old could go to jail and be labelled a sex offender for sleeping with a 17 y/o

I know we have arbitrary ages that society colloquially associated with maturity and adulthood (16, 18, 21)… but there’s like no difference between a 17 and an 18 year old… Perhaps you can vote/buy property/rent a motel/get your license etc.

I think 16 is appropriate re age of consent. It’s disgusting for an adult to sleep with a sixteen year old, but that’s around the age where I think “you are probably capable of making decisions, even if they are bad decisions”.

Whereas I still think of fifteen as resembling the VERY END of childhood.

No Romeo and Juliet law in CA either. Minors may get married however.

So can the minors consummate the wedding? Or are they supposed to get married and wind up on the sex offenders registry for doing what married couples do…

Yes… they do… either excuse it (come up with a justification) or downplay the prevalence all the while absolutely piling on over how badly women are behaving by using an example of a female archetype that represents MAYBE 10-20% of women at most…

There are members of this board who talk as if they’ve come straight out of the seedier sects of the manosphere.

No one has brought up isolated gen Z (and newer generations are), isolation and omnipresent alienation leads to disordered traits developing. Young people are engaging in less social interaction than ever before. We are constantly told that our world is doomed, and that we are to pay for the ignorance of our forefathers

Couple that with a pandemic that led to a LOT of undue isolation, skyrocketing costs of living and a technology infested dystopian nightmare has eventuated for young people. Young people are unhappy because there is good reason to be unhappy… for all we know we will live paycheck to paycheck forever.

We aren’t necessarily killing ourselves at alarmingly high rates, but the presence of diagnosed mental illness is alarmingly high in young people.

Holy crap, my ex-addict cousin once told me long after getting clean that he would have saved himself years in hell (addiction, untreated mental illness, incarceration…) had he avoided at all costs women that found him attractive.

I thought that was a self-depreciating snide remark but only now did I put two and two together and realized what he meant.

What I meant by here is this thread. This thread is quite lengthy now, so if someone in it excused male misconduct, I missed it.

Uh, I have actually brought this up numerous times here and other threads. Others have too. I even was intending to link a new You Tube video on this. So here it is now.

I’ve also mentioned some men actually like punching down on Gen Z. I’m convinced of it.

I think I also mentioned this as well.

Where did you get no one has mentioned this stuff?

On this specific thread

My bad if I missed it

My thought was

“We are talking about Andew Tate, and Tates followers”

We should also go over how many of his followers frequently have little in the way of meaninful social interaction, no role models at home etc.

In a way… he also preys on his followers… just like the women he chooses to coerce, he markets his snake oil only to the most vulnerable of young men

OK, not a bad idea. Although I did mention something like this in here actually. Tate is a symptom of what you mentioned. Actually most of the self-help/PUA/hustle-bro/fitness/red-pill comprise what I’ve called the surrogate-daddy industry. They fill a vacuum which we have covered numerous times.

That cycle can be brutal.

Dude goes to rehab to get clean, meets “the most awesome chick ever!” in rehab. Both get clean for a little while, then relapse. Lather, rinse, repeat.

It can be hard to tell who is getting better, and who is just getting better at being sick.

They are an easy target and I’ve had a lot of exposure to them but, I criticize the behaviors and beliefs while placing the blame on the parents and other adults in positions of authority and influence.

And you shill for your employer, just like the rest of us do too.
And if you’re a business owner, you’ll shill for your customers if need be.

This doesn’t discount the point Rogan was making.

It’s funny that during a conversation about WOMEN, folks keep saying “yeah, but men…”

I never said men didn’t do this, but it wasn’t relevant.

This brought me back…what a thread! Rarely have so many people openly displayed complete ignorance. It was almost like watching a “Whose Cock is bigger…Woman or Non-pornstar Man?” thread, and seeing multiple posters argue that the woman’s cock is likely bigger because most men don’t have pornstar cocks.

This is usually how it goes and I’m sincerely curious to know why this is. For example, in the thread about incels, someone said something like, “but what about disenfranchised women, who are usually poor women of color?.” I thought, “Uh… this thread is about male incels, not downtrodden women. If you want, why not make a separate thread?”

As I asked, must we have parity in all things said about the sexes? Like if I say something unflattering about women, should I make a mental note, “OK, to even it out, my next stated criticism will be about men. Check!”?

In the incels thread I stated I have admitted concern about my son’s generation. Peopke asked, “what about your daughter, which I stated was something silently implied; of course I care about her too, but I was discussing something that far more affects males.
