The Andrew Tate Case

Just a guess on this, but I am guessing this is average not median. I suspect technology has allowed a few women to raise the average, but the median I suspect is more stable.

After 3 generations of feminists offspring believing that open female sexuality is ā€œempoweringā€, you think it hasn’t taken a toll on the average bodycount?

There is not more sex going on. There is a redistribution of sex. Socially-enforced monogamy allowed ordinary men to get sex rather easily.

I’d buy that since the 50s it has probably gone up. Something like birth control seems like it would almost for sure make women more likely to have sex.

I don’t think the median has changed a ton over the last decade or so though. But that is just gut feeling.

Well, gut feeling being what it is, I would look at social media. 2013 is just past the bend where social media went from Myspace into something much more.

Women’s sexual currency is attention. What is social media if not flagrant attention mongering?

Can we reasonably conclude a redistribution with women sharing the top of the heap? I think so.

Is it just as bad for men’s body counts to go up? Or is it only bad if its women?

There’s a double standard for good reason. However sexual irresponsibility is bad on both counts. @doogie

Certainly, but lots of women want attention from men, but don’t do anything physical with them. It is form of validation.

Even moms and housewives will go on Tinder without ever having an intention to go on a date to ā€œsee if they still got itā€. I think this shows a lack of understanding. Many men will swipe right even if they think the woman isn’t a looker. It isn’t the validation they think, many men are just hornier than they imagine.

Some of that happens. Some of them likely think they are in a relationship, when the guy isn’t being exclusive with her.

Many young women also prefer guys that are older than them. The young guys are being overlooked for older ones. Many men also prefer younger women, so that these young women are able to find guys 10-15 years older that are interested.

To continue. Obviously everyone here knows to regulate a market, regulating is done on the supply side, not the demand side.

The double standard in a nutshell, summed in Dr. Baskerville’s book better than I can.

I kinda view it as women will give sex to a man for a relationship, and men will give time and resources for sex / relationship.

A woman will be sexually open with a man (assuming she is straight) in relation to how attractive she thinks he is. Now a woman with a big past will have the man wondering if he is really that special to her. If she makes him wait and then that guy finds out she was hooking up with Tinder guys left and right before she met him, what does he think? It seems he would think she views him as less attractive than those guys.

On the flip side of the coin. What if a woman in a relationship with a guy is made to wait for 3 years before a proposal. Then she finds out he proposed to 3 different women after 6 months together with each one. What is she to think?

I think both the thing with the woman and her sexual past and the guy and his willingness to commit his time and resources are the same. Both would feel not very special to their partner.

Looking at you guys, is this a surprise?

As well as interesting.

Is it just as bad? No. Men do not suffer the emotional trauma that women do with high bodycounts.
It is, however, bad for both men and women.

You should visit LA.

Last week, a girl in my class handed me her number (unsolicited) despite having a literal ring tattoo on my finger. She was aware that I was married and completely unbothered.

Right.
Also, if women aren’t accountable for sexual regulation, a high amount of bastardy ensues. See post above with page from Baskerville.

I don’t think many act on it, but I think the amount who do is seriously underestimated.
Women are not naturally monogamous.

People likely thought they were because in the past their anti-social behaviors were kept in check by older women and male family members and communities at large.

I would argue that both men and women are not monogamous. I think you agree with me here, but it’s probably worth saying for context.

Great point. Now promiscuity is lauded by feminists and Boss Babes.
