The Andrew Tate Case

How do you know what she was giving back? Would she have admitted it?

Oh abso-fucking-lutely.

I’ve known her since we were like 10 years old. At the time, my wife was her best friend. We knew about all her relationships and sugar daddys. Plenty of dudes she said she was sleeping with. She was 100% transparent. If she slept with someone the first night they met, she would say that too. And the Australian didn’t disagree. I was actually standing right there when he got his first kiss from her, and I saw plenty of times prior when she turned him down. I’m fairly certain she never slept with him. Their relationship was short, and she was dating someone else at the same time as well, who she eventually married.

That’s depressing and also hilarious.

A fool and his money are soon parted. This has been true for the entirety of human history.

But ya. We’ve had many laughs at that guy’s expense. I honestly don’t even remember his name. I know he was an Australian politician with a significant role in their government, but we always just called him ā€˜the Australian’, lol.

Lurker here. Tate is interesting to me… the way those car wrecks in the popular ā€œdash camā€ videos are interesting.

I watched a couple snippets of him that someone posted on Twitter a few weeks ago, and they made my stomach turn. Then, thinking about how many males look up to him, I actually got kind of sad. Are his feelings about women common? Do a lot of men think like that?

What’s weird is, Tate has said a couple things – unrelated to women – that made sense. If I’m being honest, some of it was refreshing.

And for a while, a lot of political pundits gave him a platform! He was ā€œcelebritizedā€ (I use that word a lot, but it may not be real) for having different thoughts on a couple topics, which is kinda what happened with Ye for a while.

But, maybe this is mentally weak of me, I’ve been craving reassurance (like what @BrickHead posted) that most men don’t think like him, and he’s on some extreme end of the spectrum of women-hating douche-bagginess.

I don’t think most men think like this, and certainly not men on here. However I believe there is a significant, growing minority of men who are like this judging from the astounding amount of such content on the internet in which men rail against and obsess over women, and view picture them as nothing more than sex objects to be have the ā€œfour F’sā€ (find, feel, f—, forget).

What is not surprising to me is such a culmination of the decades-long Sexual Revolution that posters here are likely tires of me posting about. Sexual ā€œliberationā€ ultimately leads to Andrew Tate and characters like him. They are some of the direct result of such a Revolution, and considering my interest in the subject, that’s the top reason why I have interest in this case.

Perhaps you have knowledge on the subject. I consider myself to have a great deal. If you don’t have such knowledge and are interested, I can suggest some books (some very lengthy at 600 to 800 pages) on the subject to see exactly why this circus came about.

Thanks for the post. I think site contributors chiming in on discussions is great.

Good content on the bullshit artistry of Tate (whose lawyer says he doesn’t employ the ā€œlover boy methodā€ but is on tape stating how he uses it) and what actually is human trafficking (contrary to popular belief, restricting all of one’s movements is not a necessary characteristic for considering what is it).

Me too! (wrt just one thing though) I had no idea who Tate was before or after, but I saw this after the FTX crypto debacle, and my thought was ā€œthis guy is obviously an asshole, but damn he is spot on hereā€ LOLLL:

Tate is a colossal arsehole. He ā€œrepresents menā€ like incels who shoot up schools ā€œrepresent menā€.

I love how Greta Thunberg schooled him. He’s such an insecure little loser he started an online squabble with an autistic teenager just to draw more attention to himself - and that (by posting his pizza box) directly got him arrested.

In all of the videos I’ve watched in which ā€œwoman/man speaks out!ā€ on behalf of Tate, it seems like nothing they say shows practically nothing about possible innocence for what he is charged. Keep in mind that’s my hunch; I’m not a lawyer.

ā€œA woman had a key to the house.ā€
ā€œThe women could order food.ā€
ā€œThe women were allowed to leave the home.ā€
ā€œThe police are corrupt and know there’s no evidence.ā€
ā€œTate wouldn’t do that; he can get women without doing that.ā€
ā€œHe’s a good guy. I’ve know him for years.ā€

Totally agree with you on all this.

I hadn’t connected the dots between the sexual revolution and Tate, but I can see how there’d be a domino effect over the decades to cause some unfortunate consequences. That’s very interesting! Shoot me that book recommendation!

I can’t guarantee that my miniature brain will be able to stick with a topic for 800 pages, but I’m definitely interested in understanding more.

Thank you for dropping your thoughts on this whole thing. I appreciate the thoughtful discussions here.

Once in a while someone awful will say something on a topic that resonates. I made the mistake a couple years ago of following him on Twitter when he said something that made sense at the time. It might’ve been critical of government overreach or something. (I don’t remember honestly.) But I apparently didn’t scroll down enough to see what an absolute creep he was. Lesson learned.

In regards to the video on FTX and SBF, I think he’s making an interesting point so long as we are talking about people with very large fortunes (well into 8 or 9 figures, minimum). But most millionaires drive fairly affordable cars, because a million dollars isn’t really that much money. As someone in my mid 30s, I’d probably need at least 10 million dollars or so to retire and maintain my lifestyle for the rest of my life. If I was going to live lavishly buying cars and watches and such for the rest of my life, that number would get much bigger.

I would imagine some incels think like him, but that isn’t the majority.

I’d like to think most men agree with the things Jordan Peterson speaks about regarding gender and gender relations. Tate is right about a good portion of what he says, but his delivery is intentionally hurtful.

There is an aweful lot of women out there who treat men as if they are oppressors, and nothing is going to piss someone off like being called an oppressor while simultaneously being oppressed. I HATE to play the victim card, but I genuinely feel that as a straight white man - I am on the wrong side of an uneven playing field. I presume most of Tate’s followers are in similar situations; a key difference is that I’m married and successful… I think it would be much less bearable were I single and not successful.

Anyways, no - I don’t think most men think like Tate. The man has created a LOT of content, most of which is likely seldom watched… I’d be willing to bet that confirmation bias plays a massive role here. Had the youtube algorithm been pushing his transition to Muslim - I’m quite certain he’d have lost many of his white followers, but that part is rarely shown in my Tate-plagued YT Shorts feed.

People ignore the parts they dislike and remember the parts they agree with.

How the fuck did Olivia Wilde cast a villain character reminiscent of Jordan Peterson when Andrew Tate was RIGHT THERE? JP is the guy you want men to be like…

This is the best thing a man could say about Tate. Thank you.

It would be interesting to hear an expert do a breakdown on him… as objectively and scientifically as possible. If he’s influencing young men, it might even be valuable to know why some males behave like him: the constant need to provoke, manipulate, show off, and potentially abuse (psychologically or physically) women.

Does someone like this have mommy issues? Were they bullied for being poor as a child? Is he compensating for something that happened in the past? What things make a person like this?

If I were a parent, I’d want to make sure to not raise a little Tate.

So very glad to hear this!

I’ve probably been exposed to the worst parts of what he keeps talking about: the way he sleeps with women only to manipulate them into doing business with him, and then treats them like objects and – from a couple videos I’ve seen – punching bags. These women also seem brainwashed. Maybe they’re not, and to them the money is worth this cult-like bizarre lifestyle, but they all defend him as though he’s a perfect angel.

He kind of reminds me of the guy who was featured in the documentary, The Most Hated Man on The Internet.

I hear you, and it sucks. I don’t think you’re playing the victim card; your sentiments here are legitimate. And that does explain why he’s able to appeal to a lot of young men.

These are all good points.

I haven’t seen that movie yet. Is it any good?

So talking about the YT algorithm and confirmation bias - I’ve NEVER seen anything like what you’ve desribed here. Literally not one video or comment about it. Things like this are how it feels like the left and right (politically) aren’t even reading the same book.

Algorithms will push you towards content you want to watch. TikTok’s algorithm bases how much you like a certain content type on how long you watched a video for. Quick skip on Trump? Probably hate the guy. Watch the whole thing? More Trump videos for you.

I’m not interested in financially funding someone as socially/societally inept as to call Jordan Peterson a monster or ā€œincel godā€. Were I pressed to name the greatest man alive today, his name would be what comes out of my mouth - he is the best of us. Sorry, what I’m getting at is I haven’t seen it :grimacing:.

It’s worth noting that Hustlers University was some weird like pyramid scheme or MLM thing that Tate made. One of the things required in it was to repost Tate content… which is why he is inescapable across platforms he’s been banned on. In my limited experience, MLM schemes have all been culty - and possible show that it looks like more men support him than really do… perhaps showing they more intensely support him than they really do as well.

I am no expert, and it is probably multifaceted. It seems to me that a lot of it has to do with insecurity. There is a lot of messaging (as well as just peer to peer stuff) to boys and men that having power over women or being able to seduce women is the ultimate status thing. It’s what made James Bond cool. The hero gets the girl type thing.
