i’m game. i recently hit a 315x5 with a little leg drive but they were all from the chest and dead stop. it will definitely take awhile but my goal is an overhead press of 405 at a bodyweight under 240.

I knew you would be mentioned in this thread! I’m sure you will get that 405 soon. Probably about the same time I finally get 315.

ill join.

i can push press right around the 315 mark.

i had to work a really long time to get both.

i wasted much of my youth though.

I was feeling good after squatting 405 today, come home, and then theres this thread full of guys who want arms as strong as my legs. Jesus.

so how did all of u train to get these heavy ass presses? i seem to be stuck in slightly below 200s…

The Robert Oberst and Josh Bryant vids (445! lol) were insane and very impressive. I gotta point out though, so far Vincent is the only one in the thread who has actually done a strict overhead press with 400+. The other two were push presses.

I’m not even sure what to say about Ed Coan doing it behind the neck… just watching that made me feel like my shoulders were being ripped out lol.

Okay, the guy in the first video was basically doing a standing incline press, and Coan only moved the bar a few inches near lockout! Neither lift counts, sorry.

Yeah he can strict press out the rack 405 for 3-5 reps depending on the day Ive seen it… its really silly. Thats just the only video out right now. I keep trying to get him to post more videos and should have some impressive lifts up in a few weeks

lol at everyone separately quoting and tearing the ‘vids didnt count’ poster. was waiting for that

WOW. Strongman competitors always have the craziest OHP strength. Would love to see that.
