The 315 OHP Thread

after running a 521 for 4 months a got my ohp strict 231 at a 211 bodyweight this was performed last year october november

strong. just curious, how tall are you? you seem to have LONG arms, which makes that lift even more impressive.

Personally, I would like to see a little less leg drive (hip swinging is ok), but mostly with knees locked out or immobile. But for this thread, as long as you are not Oly Lifting, its ok.

Swiss bars are fine.

245 from about 6 or 7 weeks ago…

Got 260 for a 5lb PR last week at 230 BW.

Hit a 275 the other day. Was feeling like shit all week–I think I have a virus, but was able to struggle through it for a new PR. All my warmup and working weights felt like poop, so hopefully 275 is not all that’s there right now and I was just having a bad day. Regardless, I’ll take it.

You get 10 extra lbs for lifting with that music playing in the background, I would drop the weight on my head just to not hear it anymore.

Good pressing, VT and Matty. Incidentally, I’m competing in the same event on that other site. I’ve done 245 and think I have more in me, though I don’t really train this lift.

Wanted to bump the thread. I have recently fallen for OHP, but am no where near these numbers. One of my goals is to hit 315 in the next 5 years.

Next week I’ll give 275 a shot on my shoulder day.

I hit 264 this week pretty comfortably, I think I’ll be close to 275 next week. Also nearly strict pressed a 297 log the day after which is a good sign
