I’m glad I’m the only guy who feels like Lou Ferrigno in Raw Iron then… but if you don’t know what your talking about you should keep your mouth shut. Newsflash! You don’t know jack shit about me, so shut your fucking mouth! Here, I’ll do it for you.[/quote]

I don’t need to know your life’s story to know that you are being quite silly

I’m in. Currently at 205.

For those on 5/3/1. How will you go about testing your 1RM while sticking to the program? Yesterday I completed my 5’s but didn’t go past 5 reps on last set. I then worked up to 205 doing 1’s. I was just curious. I think I might have done more if I hadn’t been on 5’s.

Whenever max one rep calculator says I can do it, I’ll incorporate shoulder press into my ME rotation. This works for me because instead of a speed bench day, I do a 5/3/1 shoulder day, but the rest is westside style training (upper and lower ME, lower DE, 5/3/1 shoulder instead of bench DE).

I will max on a lift every so often during my 5/3/1 week. As for the assistance, I really change it up and go hard, but not majoring in the minors.

I did 195 x 2 last night. I think I am going to try and go for a max next week.

i’ve been working w/ an OH press version w/ sucess lately: seated bb overhead, deadstop using the rack pins slightly lower than chin & using fat gripz to help keep wrist straight. Anyways in past months or so progressd from 205x1 to 225x1, a new pr for me.

195x2 today

Yep, I in on this quest as well. On 5/3/1 at the moment and last SOP workout hit a couple of heavy non-max singles after my work sets. Hit 80kg/1, 85kg/1 and 87.5kg/1. Current max at 92.5kg @93-95kg bodyweight

Got 205x1 today and wasn’t as strenuous as I thought it would be. 20 more to go.

I am starting my 5/3/1 for power lifting and did 190 x 3.

Good work guys! I will join in! My OHP is complete shit… Like… terrible… I think my strict OHP is at like 70kg lol. (keep in mind this is with a 165kg bench)… So I hope to catch up to some of you guys!

Let’s see some videos btw!

I better join this one too. just started doing these, my estimated max is at 191. my first PR was 155x7.

I’d love to join. I feel weak as hell looking at this forum. That’s good, though. It’s best to be surrounded by stronger people than weaker. I just started doing them 3 weeks ago. My best is 135. I feel 2 plates is reasonable by the end of the year.

id love to be in it, but only just started doing a powerlifting routine (5/3/1) and my max for military is 60kg ( 120lbs) yeah i know its weak as piss… anyway i know its off topic but does anyone ever get rotator cuff pain from doing standing military presses?

i always do sets of inner rotator cuff, outer rotator cuff at a very light weight 1.25kg just to strengthen the ligaments i believe that it is ( correct me if i am wrong) and it got rid of it for bench but for some reason it hits again when i do military. Could it be because i am pushing the bar to far infront of me when i push up? sorry that its off topic and all that jazz just thought that this would be a decent place to ask… thanks

Sure, why not? I tested yesterday 185x5 and 205x1, cleaned and strict pressed. I’ll video next time. I am also in the 600 dead quest, that one could take awhile…

Nice challenge!

Im new on the board.

My PR is 110kg/242lb. Ive been training for 2 years.

Heres a video of my Standing Overhead Press: 100kg/220lb x2 (was aiming for 3)

Here’s an older vid where I hit 100kg/220lb x1, better angle.

Taking a deload at the moment. Would like to see more belt-less pressers also. Keep up the good work chaps!

Finally got 210x2 a couple of days ago, I was stuck on 205 for like 2 months, psyched myself out pretty bad with it. Got some tips from Maraudermeat which helped greatly, when I do get 2 plates up it will be a very good day.

Good work in here guys, dont forget to do the ghey seated shoulder presses as well

My military press max is about 120 too. No big deal, we’ll be at 225 before everybody else!

My shoulders used to be all screwed up too. Search for diesel crew shoulder rehab. It’s magic. Clear up your situation with that and then check this out. Push-Ups, Face Pulls, and Shrugs
