Thanks to T-Nation

Just got back from a doctor’s checkup, and as it turns out I’ve gained 23 pounds in the last 12 months while on my bulk.

Last August- 147
This August- 170

I appreciate all those assholes on here who finally taught me you have to eat big. Thanks!

More eating.

You are now officially overweight. Now go drink a beer.

And your favorite Irish whiskey! And may the wind be at your back

Irish - I’m curious - how did your doc react to the weight gain? I would suspect many to have the knee jerk reaction that it’s a bad thing.

And, by the way, you’re still puny. (hey- you gave props to the assholes, what’d you expect?)

We’ll need to see before/after pics. (Don’t forget to hold a shoe for reference).

Seriously, good job!

I have a pretty decent doc. He doesnt try to push me too much. When we talk about supplements and what not he doesnt say much “I dont know enough to give you my opinion on _____”

He just wants me to do more (some) cardio and eat more vegetables. Because of family risk of heart disease he wants me to watch my saturated fat and see what the results are. Thus far I have great readings for anybody not just someone with a family history of heart disease.

When I go in weighing more he just asks “was the weight gain on purpose?” I say yes and he just says good and moves on.

What I gained was mostly muscle. The guy knows I weightlift, and said that it’s visibly not fat. I think that took a lot of possible concern away from it.

Haha. At 6’5 I daresay everything seems puny to you though.

Another 20 pounds and I think I might not qualify as “puny” though. Another year I figure.

Unfortuantely, I don’t have before pics, because I am a horse’s ass and have no decent camera. What I can say is that much of it was gained in my legs.

I will likely do it now, and compare myself to next August.

Before and After pics…

or are you yellow?

Your ass isn’t part of your legs. You ain’t gotta lie to make friends, fatty.

Seriously though, good job! That’s awesome. Now get up to Baaaahhhhston where you belong!

Haha. Yea you could say that. I’m not where I want to be yet. When I am, I will put them up here.

Great job, now put down the chicken and pick up a double quarter pounder with cheese!!!

Hey, that’s the right direction. Good work.

Don’t worry too much about where you are at any moment in time, just make sure you are always moving in the right direction and you are golden.

According to the BMI you are only slightly overweight and not even obese yet!!!

Squats and milk!!!
