Thanking Prof X

You have improved, but I must assume that your longer term goal is far away from the after pic.

Yes it is…I would ultimately like to be 225 @ 5’8"…

5’8", 225 is pretty damn good if you’re any kind of lean! Yes, every skinny adolescent on BB.com will give you all of the parroted misadvice you could ever hope to hear if you let them. I think most of us have been there, done that, until we found this site. So, what are you doing to bring up those legs, man?

About a month ago I made Monday = squat day and it helped my front squat go from 135 (shitty) to 180 (still shitty). Maybe that would help? I guess do squats whenever your body is at its freshest.

I’m the opposite, i do all my upper body 1st THEN my lower body. There are NO easy lower body exercises.

Think Ceph was saying, if you know you have more after you won’t go 100% full at it, so leave the Squats so you can stumble out the door afterwards ^^

Funny how that works isn’t it? I’ve been doing it for years, it’s great.

I’d disagree, but if you’re doing a whole body workout it might make more sense… if you split body parts up or have a leg day it doesn’t really make any sense. I’d do legs immediately after whatever I was prioritizing 1st if I had a whole body training regimen. But I don’t so…

Well, right now I"m doing Jim Wendlers 5/3/1 (I didn’t do the 90% thing)

I’m thinking I might do Smolov to bring up my numbers, then start doing 20 rep squats or try DC.

I’ve been looking at Ceph, Modok, Bigtosmall and a few other peoples routines to see if I can try to duplicate some type of routine. Just reading, adding people to Friends list, looking through there posts and seeing what would best suit me.

Also might try to drink a 1/2 a gallon- 1 gallon a day of skim milk to start adding more weight to myself

I’d opt for meat over milk – eat consistently and you shouldn’t have any problem gettin enough protein.

…My legs are still something I’m working on, my accident had me stop doing most of the stuff, however I kept eating.

Again thank you very much PX[/quote]

Damn 35 lbs?

I seriously doubt that, as you must have lost at least 37 lbs when you shaved off that brady bunch haircut.

On a more serious note, Congrats on your weight gain, keep it up.

LMFAO… that was funny as hell for some reason. Lol I’m just hoping I didn’t look like Marsha

Yes I did gain 35lbs. I weighed in at 150 in that first picture (I was on a 1,200k eating) and as soon as I jumped it up to about 3k I got up to right at 205 with lifting just my upper body because I was in a motorcycle accident then dieted down and continued to workout both legs/upper when I could and leveled off at 182 (okay, so it’s 32lbs)

Here is the picture (205)

Agreed. There should be enough muscle coming along for the ride to justify any fat gain (even though ideal would be little to no fat gain if possible). Also, posting pictures of yourself without making the gain in muscle clear in the photo is going to get nothing but hate from the crowd who can’t see muscle gains unless someone is below 7% body fat.

Im not sure I completely followed the timeline of the pics but the second picture you’ve posted would be a good bf% to maintain while you continue to add muscle.

I think the picture Jasmin-clown-car is calling fat is a before picture. He is 180 now, it’s on the first page.

But I could be wrong.

Counting is correct…

The time line goes… Me being very skinny, to the fat picture (kept eating after my accident I couldn’t workout much) and then me being 180 on the first page with the short hair

I had to dig them up as I wasn’t expecting to post it…
This is me as of right now… 182lbs

Good work, man. Ignore what I wrote before.

Cool

This is a good thread for people who need visuals on the “do’s and don’ts”. And also shows that diet and training BOTH need to be in order for progress to be made (posts made by some people make it clear that that isn’t obvious)
