Tendinits- how do you get rid of that?

How did you get rid of your tendonitis?
I’ve been plagued with them for a while, and now it is seriously impairing my lifting.
Help!

I battled tendonitis in my knees for 2.5 years and I’m finally just now getting rid of it. First you have to determine what caused it in the first place…flexibility, strength imbalance, improper warm-up, too much lifting, not enough G.P.P?..Oftentimes the cause can be really difficult to pinpoint. In my case the tendonitis was caused by too much strength training and not enough other activities…Let me explain…I’d been an athlete all my life but I went through a phase for 6-8 months where i was lifting heavy and getting my body and particularly my legs extremely strong without doing much else in the way of activity. Even though my training would be considered functional by most people’s standards on the rare occasion I’d go and play sports my body hadn’t learned how to deal with the increased strength I had so this quickly manifested itself as the tendonitis. As for a cure make sure your diet is right…lots of protein and quality calories. Try stretching the muscles around the joint a couple of times a day as well as icing for 10-15 minutes and hot baths. If you have access to one I’ve heard an active release practitioner can work wonders as well. Also make sure you lay off any exercises that hurt…if it hurts it’s when you’re doing something it’s probably not going to heal

you lose tendonitis by really stretching the affected area. After you stretch it hard, Ice it down for up to 20 minutes making sure not to freeze burn yourself. It is painful, but it eventually goes away, try changing your routine once in awhile, this will help as well.

train on,

I am always eager to put my two cents worth in when it comes to inflammation of joints. Two products that work wonders are WobenzymN from Germany and Equi-Tite. WobenzymN is in any health food store but the other procuct is an inflammation cream for RACE HORSES!! Works great and is cheaper than the German enzyme treatment. Best wishes!

Check out “Eccentric Exercise” by Mr. Blanchonette. Try it, may be it’ll work.
