Just thought id chime in as a long time reader of T-mag and now T-nation.
I have been reading since the good ol days of 1998 when i was introduced to this site by the first paper version i got from a friend who runs a sports store.
Anyways i’m 21 now and mainly train with weights to increse my ability as an athlete and a great muay thai fighter.
I have won multiple scottish titles and just recently the first ever scottish k-1 max at 70kg (154lbs)
Training toward the british k-1 max in november and then go onwards and upwards.
Oh and also got a staffordshire bull terrier called Cleo, a beautiful girl to share my passions with and waiting on my x-vest to come through the door to increse my training possibilities.
I’m Caliban Darklock. I’m 6’1", 200 pounds, and a shocking 26% body fat.
Ten years ago, I could eat more or less anything and not get fat. I had a nice, lean, balanced physique. Somewhere along the line, I lost that. Now I’m sort of dumpy-looking. Not really fat, just getting that middle-age spread. I miss my abs. (They’re still there, I just can’t see them.)
And people do judge by appearances. It doesn’t matter that I’m still every bit as functional, I don’t look physically impressive anymore, and I’m pretty sure that’s actually cost my company some business.
So I’m in the gym getting my shit together; I don’t know a whole hell of a lot just yet, but I’m a fast learner and a hard worker. I may have only been at it for a month, but I can still rapidly talk most personal trainers at my gym into what I call the “bullshit zone”… where they get so completely confused, they start mindlessly repeating the same bullshit aphorisms over and over with a frozen deer-in-headlights expression. It’s sort of cruel, but it’s just too much fun.
i’m from Norway and i just finished medical school (1 year of internship included). currently planning on continuing with my education in the UK (for specialisation/post graduation).
started working out recently (about 8 months ago)… and been loving it ever since i started.
25 years, 180 cm, 80+ kg (and rising )
can’t boast of strenght, so i’ll refrain from doing so.
been with t-mag from the beginning of my lifting career, and was lucky enough enough to come across drsquat (referred me to t-mag). the articles are fantastic, keep checking the site every day!
My name’s Cody, I’m 20 years old, and currently attending Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas. I’m going for a BS in exercise sciences.
I’m a hair’s length away from being a certified trainer through ISSA, just need to get a CPR card. Have recently acquired a small business license for my training services.
I’ve been weight training since I was 14, doing martial arts since I was five. Currently a 1st black belt in Isshinryu karate, plus belts in a few other styles.
I’m 5’8", 190lbs. I don’t have any clue about any of my max lifts as this is only my third week back training since I was down for 15 months and 8 days due to torn muscles in my abdominal wall/broken cartilage and ribs. Took a kick I shouldn’t have.
I guess I’ve been lurking around T-Nation since the summer of '00, but only recently decided to start posting. I have been influenced in my training ideas mainly by Charles Staley and John Davies.
Did I mention I am also rather unorganized anytime before 2 in the afternoon? Guess not.
My name is Mike and I’m 31. I’m 5’9" and about 180 pounds. I have long blond hair and blue eyes. Not sure what my body fat is but I assume it’s pretty low since I kick box (Full contact) 5 times a week and Krav Maga 3 times a week. I workout 5 times a week (upper body 3 times a week lower body 2 times a week, and abs 5 times a week). I use heavy weights and low reps. Calves I never count sets or reps.
Every year when the wife and I go to Thailand, we train in Muay Thai.
My normal life:
I’m married to the most beautiful woman a guy could ever have. She’s from Madrid, Spain. I met her over 7 years ago when she was here on vacation.
I’m a guitar player (Been playing for over 18 years), Graduated Musicians Institute (G.I.T.) in Hollywood, Ca.
My fav. kind of music is 80’s Heavy Metal, and current European Metal. Randy Rhoads, Zakk Wylde, and Michael Angelo Batio (from Nitro) are my fav. Guitar players. Yngwie, Satch, and Vai as well.
I’m currently in the process of putting together a Megadeth tribute band.
This site kicks ass
I’m Kevin, age 20. I am from Aurora, CO originally, but I am about to be a junior at MIT in Cambridge, MA. I am majoring in computer science. My current stats are 6’1" 220 at 9-11% bodyfat. My best lifts on raw bench are 320 x 8; squat 405 x 3, 335 x 12. I have a website that many of you may have seen, it just got re-designed, so check it out if you want more information on me and those affiliated with me. It isn’t complete right now, but I am working at it.
Hi, my name’s Kevin, and when I was 10 I became a morbidly obese 260. I started trainning when I was 14, and I found out I had real good genetics, I can put on muscle real fast. I got heavily into trainning around 98 and through some unfortunate incidents wound up putting a lot of weight back on. A guy at the gym told me about this site, and it’s help light a fire under my ass. I finally found a palce with like minded individuals and it’s great.
Hi my name is kevin, and I’m 20. I’m going to college in Iowa, but I’m from colorado. I began training when I was a fat little kid about 13. When I was in high school my 10th grade year I broke the bench press record at 400 lbs. The end of my 12th grade year I was benching 435, squating 595, and power cleaning 300. My weight at the time was 170 at 5’9. I know what your thinking, and no I was not juiced up. Last year I won Mr. Teen Iowa, and I plan on doing more bodybuilding as soon as I gain another 20 or so lbs of muscle. Right now I work at a Gym, go to school, and getting big.
I’m 22 and attending ASU perusing a Masters in Kinesiology.
I’m a full-time S&C Coach, I train lots of baseball players, MMA, rugby players, and I volunteer as the S&C Coach for a womens pro football team.
My hobbies include Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, Ninjitsu, and powerlifting.
Recently I have become a certified Muay Thai instructor.
I’m a completely drug free (never juiced) powerlifter in the NASA federation
My lifts:
Bench: 500lb
Squat: lifted 720lb 2 days ago.
Deadlift: pulled 700lb 2 days ago.
I’ve been training since age 14, so my training age is 9 years.
By the way I’m 5’9 at 220lb about 10% body fat.

Awesome dude! Keep playing, you’ll be glad you did. Are you familiar with drum corps at all? I’m going to the DCI world championships in Denver this Saturday (yeah, drum corps was my sport growing up). It will be a treat. If you haven’t seen/heard it, you DO NOT know what you’re missing!
I am a 23 year, 6 1" 188 lbs. about 12%bf. I’ve been lifting seriously for about 6 years, largely thanks to my pops who got me a bench when I was 12/13. At night I bartend, during the day I contemplate grad school options, and fly off cliffs with reckless abandon. I lift 5 days a week, and would lift more but my body would probably either split in two or at the very least I’d get smaller. Right now I am trying to scrape together some flow to get a motorcycle which has been a dream of mine for a while now. I also started training in mixed martial arts to release some of my aggressive tendencies although it’ll probably be counter-productive. My girlfriend is about to move in with me next week so that should be interesting. This site is great cause it lets me know there are others more insane then I am.
Peace

Hello! I am 59, 5.1, 125 and extremely determined to succeed in my quest for the best body I can possibly extract from the rather soft shell that’s covering it.
Thank you, T-Nation, for providing the tools, mental and physical, to aid me in this task.
